I can understand a newbie to the stock market might not know any better than do what Martha is accused of doing, but she has been in business for a very long time. She also has advisors at her disposal, so I'm not so sure she's as innocent as she says she is. What do you think? Was it just a coincident that she sold her stock one day before the announcement was made?

I don't believe it was just a coincidence... she KNEW what she was doing.
She's very experience in the stock market. She's got an advisor as well.
She is friends with some guy who told her what was going to happen....

She was VERY informed, and made her decision based on the info that she received.

She totally knew. Martha worked on Wall Street. She had inside information.

Yeah, but she HAD ONCE worked in wall street. She wasn't the day she got the information from the broker. She wasn't on the Board of the Imclone Corporation for which she sold those shares, but simply an outside shareholder.

So her source of information isn't from an inside source as it relates to her decion making to order the sale of her own stock interest. Her boyfriend Sam didn't call her back before she told the broker to sell.
