Okay, so chodder says that Harry has Slytherin blood, in another forum.
So, I'm starting this in here, so that we can discuss this.

Chodder.... take it away.

Doesnt he? If I remember correctly his dad was a Slytherin. it was explained in the 2nd movie. the sorting hat in the first one was suppose to put him in Slytherin, but he was saying he wanted to go to...uh... o god i forgot.... this is not good... help? yeah so anyway the hat put him where he wanted to go even though he was suppose to be Slytherine (hence speaking snake language)

His dad was a Gryffindor. Harry was afraid of being in Slytherin with all the slimy kids, so he asked the sorting hat not to put him there. Lord Voldemort accidentally transferred some of his powers to Harry when he tried to kill him. I believe the hat was picking up on the scar and Voldie's transferred powers.

Nope... it's never been said WHAT house either of his parents were in.
Though, in the 1st movie, you see Harry taken to a plaque showing people who were on the Gryffindor quidditch team, and his dad got the seeker award!!!

Now, let's not pick on Chodder. He just reminded us how much we all love Harry.

I don't Harry is meant to be in Slytherin because remember what Dumbledore said somewhere near the end of the story? This is some part of what he said;"....only a true Griffindor can pull out this sword from the hat..."

one more thing James IS IN GRIFFINDOR CHODDER!!!!!!!

Then why does he know how to speak snake? That was suppose to mean he was the descendant of Slytherin. Sorry if I'm getting mixed up

Because, Voldemort tried to kill Harry when he was 1 year old. That's the night that Voldemort killed Harry's parents. But, when he used the curse on Harry, it didn't work, and 'backfired' and he defeated himself. When that curse that was used on Harry didn't work, there were some of Voldemorts powers that were transferred into Harry. That is how he can speak parseltongue. Though out the books, you see Harry's scar hurt him from the presence of Voldemort. In the 5th book, we find that there is yet another connection between the two, from the curse and scar. Harry can feel the emotions of Voldemort.

The first HP was published in 96 or 97... and, JKR has been working on this story for years before that. She has the entire thing basically written... has since the beginning. It's just all the 'fine tuning' that's still needed.

im not going to argue with you i already lost and dont feel like loosing again. you potter fans are too strong.

Oh Chodder... this isn't arguing. I'm just saying stuff that JKR has said in interviews, since she published the first one... that's all.
