So, you killed the 2 guys standing in front of the bookshelf? When you turn around, you see a stone with a missing piece? When you go to the backroom (it's left of the stairs) with some painting supplies go to the opposite wall with 3 strange looking bricks and "open" them. When returning, you have to fight again a little, then put the thingie you found in the brick wall into the stone and there opens a hidden door.
