I just watched this the night before last on a screener copy of the DVD - very enjoyable, just like the first film. Was disappointed that the "game" thing that they play on the broomsticks ended the same way with Harry catching the little doo-hickey: not a heck of a lot of imagination there.

Honestly, I was expecting to really dislike these movies being too kid-oriented, but they're so rich, laden with humor, excellent characters, amazing special effects (though after Gollum in the Twin Towers the little gnome guy in this movie leaves a lot to be desired)

Usually, when we can't decide ourselves between two guys, we have to choose a third one...Let's see Rupert Grint !!! Anyway, neither Dany nor Dan will be in the forth one...

See you...

A real EYE opener!! hehehe

I loved Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than Philosophers Stone. in the first film was just to introduce you to the characters mainly and to let you know that Harry can defeat Lord Voldemort the most evil dark sorcerer of all time. the second one, where Daniel Radcliffes voice grows Sexy, and Tom Felton is so Sexy.. so if we were to put dan'z voice and toms whole body together, SEX GOD!! hehehe. and in the second one we see the whole of Ron Weasleys family.. and Ginny becomes part of the Hogwarts team.... the best scene would have to be with the mandrakes and with Rons Howler. ive bought Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on DVD and the second disk with the special features is the best, with the behind hogwarts to the activities section it is good for everyone. well Harrys voice in the Chamber of Secrets ps1 game is sexy!!

Worse than the first one - but the effects were better. Even so, thumbs down.

I just saw the movie last night, it was excellent. I read the first four books last year and am just starting the fifth.

I really liked this movie too, I just don't think they need to get so many "action" scenes in there - for example Harry almost falling out of the flying car .. gheez, whatever .. or the forever quidditch play ..

but I love their settings (especially the burrow) .. and again, the actors -

by the way .. Dan and Tom are cute, that's true, but they are babies .. I really liked Sean Biggerstaff (Oliver Wood) .. he is hot .. especially during that one quidditch game (was it in the first or second movie?) when he does the flip in front of the goal hoops and then the look on his face ... aaaahh ..

anyway .. i liked the movie a lot

Reading these reviews has made me realise how little appeal there is for guys is in the movie. Anyhow, the film was an improvement on the first, basically because it was so much darker. However, it still falls short of what Rowling would have wanted. A good try though.

i haven't seen the second movie yet becuase i'm afraid it'll ruin the book for me. do you guys think i should see it?

Well, I don't think that it will ruin the book for you.
It's funny, but I completely seperate the two.
The only thing that I bring from the movies to the books is the way the actors look. I see them when I'm reading.

I would see it though... there are some great scenes. Like when they do the dueling club and Draco and Harry are on the table. That's really fun to watch. And the scene's with Fawkes. He is too cool. I want a Phoenix. Seeing Dumbledore's office... I liked that.

Overall, I say... see the movie!! It's worth it.

The movie was fantastic, but don't you think some action scenes weren't necesarry? Like the one when Harry almost falls out of Ford Anglia (and i dont remember reading it in the book*)? I mean, there was enough action in the book already, they didn't have to make scenes up. It made Harry look like an action hero, and it's not what the movie should've been about. But it was still GREAT. Yeah, Tom Riddle was SOOO hot. Huh. Well, Darth Vader was cute in his Anakin-Skywalker-phase too...
oh, why did they have to go to the Dark Side:-(

Okay, we just bought the CoS dvd last night! I know... I've been behind on buying my dvd's lately. Anyway... I watched it, and it's funny how now, it's just not as impressive as when I saw it in the theatre for the first time. It was good, don't get me wrong... but NO WHERE near what the book gives you.

Still, I really liked it. And I loved watching Dobby make the cake float from the kitchen and Harry trying to stop it... but, too late!! It was so funny.

Oh, and HOW does Hermione get up in to the boys dormroom, when it's been torn apart? I thought that there was a spell that keeps them from going up each other's hallways! Or, is it just for the boys, to keep them from the girls dormrooms?

hey KJ,

i think in the last book Ron and Harry are trying to run up to the girls dormitory, but the steps give way and they slide back down and i think Hermione explains that boys are not allowed in there, but it works the other way around ..

does anybody else remember that?

yes,i remeber she says that girls con go to the boys dorms, but boys can't go to the girls dorms...because that boys are more untrustworthy than girls

it was good. but i just saw PoA and trust me, there's no comparison. PoA seriously kicks more a-- i mean, butt, than the other two combined.

can't wait for #s 4-7!!

COS was very good. I think that Chris Columbus did a great job of making Hogwarts look magical. I loved POA, but I missed the magic and splendour of Hogwarts in this one.
