Rowan Atkinson to play Lord Voldemort

Rowan Atkinson has reportedly been lined up to play Lord Voldemort in the next Harry Potter movie.
The Sun says the Mr Bean actor will become the personification of evil in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
The newspaper quotes an insider as saying: "It's a very major career change for Rowan. He has been looking to spread his wings and branch out into other roles."
Atkinson, recently treated for depression, would be the first human incarnation of Voldemort who so far has only been seen in spirit form.
Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will return as Harry, Ron and Hermione when filming starts on the fourth film in April.
The third movie, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, is due for release on June 4.

So what do you say guys? He's not really what I imagined as Voldemort, but then again, I never thought Gary Oldman would be good playing Sirius, and the photos show differently!

Those are rumors. I have seen articles where his publicist absolutely refutes this rumor.

Also, Rowan is currently in a hospital somewhere here in the States. It appears that he is having some trouble dealing with the flop movies that he's made.

It's really sad, because I LOVE this guy. He is so funny to watch....

Rowan Atkinson's agent has spoken to Newsround Online denying rumours that he is set to play Lord Voldemort, or any other role, in the Harry Potter films.
Warner Bros. insiders also say that no casting decisions have been made yet.

Rumours had been flying on the web, in papers and in respected film newspaper Variety that the Mr Bean and Johnny English star was lined up to play He Who Must Not Be Named in Goblet of Fire.

Speculation

But Janette Linden his agent said: "There's no truth whatsoever that Rowan will be in the next Harry Potter movie."

There has been speculation for the last year on the internet that Atkinson would play Harry's arch enemy.

Filming will start on the movie in April. Dan, Emma and Rupert will all be returning for Harry's fourth adventure.

The third Potter film, Prisoner of Azkaban, opens in cinemas on 4 June.

I guess you're right, sherry.... I found a picture of Rowan with red eyes and all, it was !

I can only think of him playing Avery, or someone like that.

Yeah, its a tabloid. I think it is run by the Sky Network -- owned by Rupert Murdoch, the media mogul. Can anyone confirm or deny that?

Rupert Murdoch owns News Corp, not sky. But i think News Corp may own Sky which owns The Sun, or something like that . Turn to page 3 of any Sun Newspaper and you'll get a nice surprise

It's definately a rumour anyways but it's interesting to think about for a moment.

Okay, I am pretty sure News Corp owns Sky Network which own Star TV. I know that for sure.

And yes, I know you get a *cough cough* nice *cough cough* surprise when you turn to page 3.
