well andy serkis won't be getting best supporting actor for his wonderful role of Smeagol/Gollum, due to the fact that his character is CG. personally i think thats absolutely ridiculous. he did just as much work, if not more, than everybody else on the film. what are you're thoughts?

I think that's just stupid. Andy has just as much right to that award as the other actors! Of course, I'm hoping my fave actor, Sean Astin, gets the award.

i think any one of the "main" characters should get it...i mean they all did such a great job.

Yeah, I mean, when I think of good actors, the names Sean Astin, Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen, Billy Boyd, and more just flash through my mind.

man...that would really irk me...knowing i wouldn't get any credit from the academy because my role was CG

Yeah, but he might get some other award. ::Shrug:: He understood when he took the job that it would take a lot of work, but his face would never be on the screen (until Rotk that is )

Ellen Degeneres stands a chance of winning for her role as an animated fish in Finding Nemo. I think that Andy Serkis should have a chance too.

I think Billy Boyd had the best performance in ROTK, but he probably won't get any award for it.

I freaked out when Pip looked into the seeing stone.

He was really good in it! And im glad they had alot more of him in it than in the Two Towers! There wasnt much Merry though...
I dont think Pip was suposed to fling himself about the room when he looked into the Palantir but PJ needed to add that for effect.

Dang Hollywood! Just kidding, it was a bit much, but I liked it. I liked the look on Merry's face. Good acting on Dom Monaghan's part. Fear for his cousin.

Yeah it was a bit OTT. in the book he just sits frozen to it with it in between his knees.
Did you notice that to get to Pippin, Gandalf pushes Merry and he goes flying!

He goes flying to show how little the hobbits are. I think they did a good job of that in the third movie.

Yeah, If Sean Astin doesn't get the award, I think Billy Boyd should. Pippin is my favorite character, but I just LOVE Sean's style of acting. Makes me cry every time! ::tear::

I love Pippin in the 3rd movie. He was mostly just a sidekick and comic relief in the other 2 movies. He is a hero in the 3rd. I love it!
