Let these words ring true.

I know some people here can't seem to grasp the reality of war but nothing ever gets fixed when you do nothing.

Sometimes, it must come to war to secure freedom & peace for others like Iraq. Honestly, f*****g live with it & grasp reality or stop whining whilst being a constant worthless nuisance that doesn't help anything.

Better men are the ones making sacrifices, supporting & doing something. Simple just better men than others.

You have to admire those people who talk about FREEDOM, SACRIFICE and BRAVERY while committing the ultimate brave sacrifice for freedom of sitting in their bedrooms beside a keyboard.

Like you I'm guessing? Considering most people might already have a career, did a stint previously or be female, they all can't join the services. If it come to the crunch, I reckon most would become a son of freedom. Those better men would go first as usual. Some people just aren't up for the service also.

Don't worry, my body is up for rent 24/7.

I know that when self interest is dressed up as virtue it is being used to sacrifice others. who are not the policy makers. I also know that if you want people to williingly sacrifice themselves on the alter of your self centeredness it is only necessary to persaude them they are doing a good thing.

I also know that there a very few things in this world that makes, me risking my life worth while or trying to kill Iraqis worthwhile, and that there are many cheaper and more efficient ways of trying to improve the lifes of Arabs that doesn't involve Americans or me killing them ,and having them try to kill me in their turn.
If you like USA1 I may not know the meaning of scarifice but I do know the value of not sacrificing others and not reveling in the glory of the death of others just so you can feel the vicarious thrill of invovlement in what you imagine is a noble cause.

Not if fighting terrorism is part of the cause of terrorism it ain't and why is it so many successful fights against terrorism have involved either reforms or negociating with terrorists

There are no successfull fights against terrorists involving negotiating. Terrorists are not human. There is nothing to talk about with them, they only understand force. It's good that there is someone who is willing to use it.

Good luck! Humanity won colonialism, slavery, communism, nazism, feodalism, now there is terrorism and oppression, drugs and 'white slavery'... Good luck to those who stand up against it, who know that doing the right thing is never wrong.

Dragon,
I agree. You don't know the meaning of selfless sacrifice. If everyone felt as you do. Me, me , mine, the French and English would be speaking German and the U.S. would still be supporting slavery.
I'm not sure if New Zealand was ever involve in a selfless act of defiance against any threat to another but, from what you are saying, I think not. Maybe it's your country and or culture that prevents you from understanding why some feel the need to sacrifice for others.
It's OK, others around the world are willing to do it for you.
