I like Gimlis quote at Gondor but again I can't remember it. its the one about walking into Mordor to certain doom, outnumbered and finishes with "What are we waiting for?" I think.

That would be
Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?
Love that line as well Tiger!

Bearing in mind that my thoughts do not dwell on the speach of man nor elf nor hobbit but seek the knowledge behind the word.

So you like that quote because it shows Strider has knowledge of the Hobbits, the Ring, the Ringwraiths, and how stupid Frodo is?

Sort of, I like the quote because of that but it does not show how stupid Frodo is but how nieve he is, how much he doesn't know about the world outside the shire.

A few Gandalf quotes I thought of recently.
