What do you think of Miranda Otto? Do you think that she portrayed Eowyn well? Do you think that Liv Tyler's Arwen took too much attention away from her?

I thought Miranda Otto was awesome as Eowyn. She was both sensitive and fragile, while remaining strong and willful. Arwen didn't have a key role in the films - just as the book - and therefore I don't think that the incorporation of her character into the films detracted from Eowyn's story.

lol finally some people that agree with me, she was a good cast, i had absolutely NO problems with her portrayal of eowyn

She played a good Eowyn...... I didnt really like her character in the books so in all truth I can't say much, one way or the other!

uh...how why does it have her as being in FOTr...as far as i know...she wasn't.
but yes i think she did an excellent job as Eowyn.

No, she wasn't in the FotR, but I guess that it was on there. Don't know!

She did a GREAT job... and in RotK, when she is defending her uncle from dying in an awful way, I just cried.

That was the only part of the movie I teared up at. She was great and I loved the guy who played Theoden.

i cried too...only i was sad that the Witch king died...not really...
but yeah she did a great job. i remember that when i read that Theoden was dying i was like..."well that just plain sucks..." but then agian, war takes no prisoners.

the guy who played theoden was Bernard Hill.
he was just plain awsome...hmmm...heather forgot to make a thread for him too.
