What do you think about Sean Bean as an actor? Do you think he portrayed Boromir well?

I have loved Sean Bean since I saw, "Patriot Games." He's an awesome actor...
I look forward to the movie, "Troy" coming out in 2004 with him and Brad Pitt.

Sean Bean and Brad Pitt in the same movie!?! I better take a bib to that movie. I will be drooling the whole time. I didn't know he was in Patriot Games. I've never seen that movie before. Uh, oh, gotta add another movie to my "must sees in 2004" list.

Orlando will be in "Troy", too.

Brad Pitt will do Achilles, and Sean Odysseus. With lots of brown curls and a beard - I've seen a production pic.

Are Orlando and Sean in any scenes together. I think it will be cool to see them act together, but not as Legolas and Boromir.

I'm not sure. Since Paris is on the side of the Troyans, and Odysseus on the side of the Greek, they could only meet in battle.

But wait, Odysseus sneaks into Troy in disguise - I'll have to look up that scene in the "Illiad" (though you can never be sure what a director makes of it).

Is this movie based on Illiad? Uh oh! Another story I'll have to read.

I loved him as Boromir. I thought he too had the perfect look for the part. I thought the guy who played Faramir was a bit whimpy looking.

But ya gotta admit David Wenham who plays Faramir and Sean Bean do look similar with long hair and beards and everything. I didn't like the way David protrayed Faramir's character because it was different from The Two Towers book, but I love Sean Bean. I thought he was wonderful as Boromir and I cried when Boromir died at the end of FOTR;_;

He died defending Merry and Pip. What a hero.

He was a hero... it was the ring that influenced that evil in him!!!!
But, what person wouldn't want something that could protect your city, your people, etc...?
Boromir died a hero....

I also thought he was handsome. Not hot like Aragorn , but handsome in his own right. Boromir was all too human. Look at the 9 mortal men the rings ensnared. I did not care for the way TT portrayed Faramir as having such doubts about where to take the ring. It did not do justice to the character.

I have seen none of his movies.

Troy is coming out on May 14. Brad Pitt, Sean Bean, and Orlando Bloom all in the same movie! Yummy! Definitely a movie to go see with the girls. We're all going to be drooling.
