What do you think of Orlando Bloom as an actor? Do you think he portrayed Legalas well?

Orli is so cute! and I don't just mean physically. He was the one actor at the premire who tried his best to sign nearly everone's posters or books or whatever. His security guards were literally pulling him away from his fans. I also admire his work and adenturous personality.

I think that he was the perfect Legolas. With that wig and his body frame, he was an elf in my eyes.

I thought he was a great Legolas. Sometimes though I thought he delivered some of his lines in a cheesey way. Overall, I thought he was awesome though. Personally, even though he is a good elf, I think he is better looking in real life. Didn't like the blond wig.

I thought he had the right look for the part.

Well I don't know if he played the part right but he did "look" the part............. i guess most girls cared less about his acting since they were too busy droolin over him

In the third movie I nicknamed him Mr. Obvious. I mean, how many times do you have to say "The way is shut." in one line? But anywho, he looked the part. I thought he was great on that part. I love him out of character.

Well, I'm a female, and I cared more about the acting part.
Sure, I wanted him to "look" the part as well... but, that goes with any movie.

I thought he was fine as an actor. Let's face it, the elves have strange lines to say. I am not crazy about his looks in any of him movies. Just not my type.

Oh, his buddy that got killed? I don't remember that being him... I thought that was someone else. Oh well Can't remember it all, can I?

Okay... I just went to his Yahoo page, where they show photo's from the movies that each actor is in. He was a guard that was in a city that was attacked!!!

he was Blackbird in Black Hawk down... and KJ, you forgot the Calcium kid in your filmography. I think Orli is a great actor, sure some of his lines are cheesy, but you could give the greatest actor in the world cheesy lines and he couldn't make them work... He didn't write his script. The fact that he broke a rib and kept on going impresses me.... same with Viggo and his toes...

I put in what was on his filmography...

You just go to www.yahoo.com and put in the search box

"Orlando Bloom"

I always use the quotations, that way, it looks for EXACTLY what I'm telling it.

hmmm... I wonder why they left that one out

Didn't Sean Astin slash his foot too?

Yes he did. When he walked into that lake after Frodo and nearly drowned.

Considering all those fighting scenes, one might wonder that not more happened. I do tournament fighting, and run around with bruises, minor cut wounds (and a broken rib, once) all summer.

and poor Bret Beady! he really hurt his knee. If you watch the EE extra footage peter talks about how his three hunters (aragorn, legolas, and gimli's scale double) were all injured when they were doing all the running scenes. Poor guys! it's really funny though because Dom and Billy are making fun of Orli's complaining about his rib.

Oh yeah... we rented PotC a few weeks ago. I absolutely loved it... and so, my mother-in-law got me that dvd for xmas. Orlando did a great job in that movie....
I know that they are making a second PotC, but I'm not sure if Orlando is in it or not. If so, I'm sure that he will do a surperb job, as usual.

In looking up the movie, it appears that they want to bring back the original cast...
so, I guess that means that Orlando will be in the sequel

Reply To this Message

Posted by: billyisthebest

of course POTC is going to be good... It has Orlando AND Johnny Depp in it. You can't possibly go wrong there

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Lawless

Well, just because there is a great cast in a movie, that doesn't mean that it will be great.
Also, a lot of sequels don't hold up to the originals... and people are let down.
LotR doesn't though... but, we all knew that, because the book is so wonderful.

yeah...but PJ seems to have increased his writers license useage with each film... or so it seems to me.

Well Two Towers and Return of the King aren't really sequels. They are actually the 2nd and 3rd parts of a reeeeealllly long movie

in reply to the 1st thread.

My friend who is a actor in hollywood, not big by any means. He met Orlando bloom at jonny depp's bar called 'The viper room'. He said that most people he talked to were really nice and that the person who had the biggest ego there was Orlando bloom. It was right after TTT and he said orlando is a prick to talk to and he is really full of himself. But that's what happens to elves i guess, they are better then us right?

Sugarush - No. I hate him, and i have so many obsessed friends that makes it even worse!

Snunka - I thought he had a big ego!

He's not my type. He seems kind of gay. And he seems very snooty in interviews.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Heatherhobbit

Let me clarify that there is nothing wrong with being gay, it just makes a man a lot less attractive to me.

Besides I prefer normal looking, or even geeky looking guys. I guess that's why I like all the actors that played the hobbits. They all have that geeky look going. It's sexy.

I understand what your saying about Orlando. until I came on here I thought everyone was obssessed with him, but I don't think we even have someone on here that is...maybe he's fading out

He appeals mostly to teeny boppers.

Seems like this is a ladies only thread. But I would go ahead and say that even though he looks like a kid who can't grow any sort of facial hair, I envy the guy's good looks.

p.s. Sometimes I envy his lack of facial hair too. I wish I could put off shaving my face for long periods of time.

He's a little too fem for me to think he's too good looking.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: adityamahesh

Fem meaning feminine?

Anyway, I am not saying he is too good looking (no man is too good looking I think), but honestly, I wouldn't mind not having to shave often.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: fuscia

I think many men feel that way about shaving AM. Nice to have you back.

Nice to be back fuscia. When I was kid I thought it would be so cool to shave. When I started to shave, I was excited. But now I feel for my fellow hirsuit people.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Heatherhobbit

Calcium Kid's tentative release date in United Kingdom in April 30. The American release date hasn't been determined yet. Both dates keep changing.

The movie is about an milkman turned boxer. It's supposed to be a comedy/mockumentary type movie.

I just singed on to this website soooo.....
I really think that Orlando Bloom is hot and it's cool to be able to talk to people who is obsessed with him like I am.
My ultimate dream is to meet him at his house. Someone told me that he proposed to Kate Bosworth and that she said no!!!!
Does anyone have any information on whether this is true or not?

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Heatherhobbit

They are both too busy for marriage right now Leosa, but they are still very much a couple.

You and Heather are the exceptions I suppose then.

I mean, yeah, I can understand he is good looking, but I don't think he is someone to drool and go nuts over.
