Plans for New Years Eve... |
| Posted by: Lawless | | What is everyone planning on doing for New Years Eve?
Will you be staying home, watching the NY special with Dick Clark?
Are you going to a party... doing a lot of drinking and celebrating?
Are you traveling somewhere?
Is there somewhere that you will watch fireworks?
Will you spend the midnight hour kissing your loved one?
Tell us your plans!!!! | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | That sounds like a lot of fun, mystic. Actually, I saw the post in another thread, that had more detail to your party. Man, if I lived in your area, you can bet that Heidi and I would be coming there!!!
We're not big drinkers... and especially on New Years Eve. I don't like being on the road, because of all the drunk drivers.
We have talked about FINALLY going to see the new LotR movie on NYEve. Don't know though. We haven't made an "solid" plans. Just waiting to see what we will do. | | Reply To this Message

That and get ready for the Y2k collaspe.
We actually stored water and food back in 1999/2000, believe or not, so it's an ongoing joke that "this is gonna be the year!" | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | Whidden, a lot of people have done that.... who knows one of these days, it could happen.
We just got back from seeing LotR: Return of the King. In my opinion, that was the perfect movie to see tonight. Now, I'm just waiting for 9pm to roll around, in 15 min or so, and watch the Dick Clark, NYC Times Square ball dropping for them at midnight.
I just got an e mail from a friend that moved to NYC. She lives 10 blocks from Time Square. She said that there are cops everywhere... helicopters flying all over the place, and sharp shooters on top of all the buildings. She isn't going out at all tonight.

Damn... I've always watched that ball drop, live, at midnight in NYC. Now it's an hour later. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | Ohhhhhhhh... Karena wants to go sit by the water, and watch the sunset, and drink a bottle of wine. So, I think that's what we're going to do. We won't be out late though... and we will probably curl up and watch a movie, or something. | | Reply To this Message
