| ok, i know there are alot of stupid ppl out there who dont know crap about buring gamecube games, but let me first say this, then get onto what needs to be done.
1. there are no programs that will let you burn gamecube games yet released.
2. no one can burn gamecube games, if they hacked the gamecube there would be lots o ppl doing it right now, just like the dreamcast.
3. gamecube has yet to be hacked in the manner of burning.
but this is what is going on in the community for gamecube burning.
1. dolphin. this is a gamecube emulator for windows. it is able to run certain games, but to what degree? currently it is still in development and not yet released, but got them running, some of them. within the next year more and more stuff will go onto it, and probally see a release end of 04, or by then.
what this means is that gamecube games can be played by dvd rom drives, which means all you need is for somebody to write the right program to get them usable in your machine.
2. broadband adapter. the dreamast, those disk could not run in comps till receantly this year, but games on it ould be copied with either a coders cable, or the broadband adabter.
they made a lil program let let you use the adabter to connect your dreamcast to your pc, and transfer a image.
this is what we need to start mesing around with in conjunction with the dvd drive reading it. if we can write a program to let us transfer the data from the gamecubes dvd lens threw the broad band adapter onto are hard drive as an image file, like with the dreamcast, then games can be copied.
the second option is the one we need to persue right now, so if anyone here has a borad band adapter, like those used with warpipe, the program that letrs u play lan games online, then start to tinker with this option.
3. developers. if ppl take the free libraries avilible to write programs for the gamecube emulators, then try and write something to copy games with them. it can be hard, but try.
4. gamecube dev scene. they all have this program for PSO (phantasy star online) that lets u do something with the game, like copy or transfer information. first, wtf does it do in terms we can understand, not tech jargon, but real words, is it just something for mem cards, like making ur saves get more money, or is it something more, 2nd, if it can rip info from the disk, start work on copying the entire disk.
5. lets stop the rumors. no more saying bs we know is fake, lets make a complete faq about all of the real information about gamecube burning. ppl are using clonecd to make iso files or something, but they are all corrupt and cannot be burnt. this is a start, so what we should do is mention this, and then list all of the programs that DONT burn them, and what was tried and the result.
this will make it so we all can get together and see how to do this. if ppl compare notes on this level, with real attempts first hand accounts, not gossip, then there will be a true surge in success within the next year or two.
also, when ppl say there freinds found a way to burn the stuff, then wront tell u, this means there lieing. remember your freinds are morons, when they say stuff like this there either making it up, or beleiving an idiot who made it up, if the stuff was hacked, then there would be all types of stuff on the net, legitimate programs, that work, not just trojan filled programs with viruses. also, all types of legitimate hacking sites and emu sites would report on it.
and for the die hards who keep saying they did it or there friends did it, stoping b$#@$ing and show proof, proof talks and sh$$t walks, so dont be like, he id it some how but not know how, be like, go and ask him, if they dont tell u specifically with proof that it works, its made up.
so, not to offend anyone, but lets get to busines. who here has a braod band adapter to ry number two, and get what ever information you can on the gamecube emulator being worked on, then come back, and see what we can do.
its time we stop wishing, and start doing, lets start the proccess right here and have it snowball to the answer. | |
