| Posted by: Sayzak | | I was just messing around with photoshop and I discovered a pretty neat effect (in my opinion). Take a picture, import it into photoshop, use the "cutout" feature, fallowed by the "photosopy" feature, and then change the color. Once you've done that, give it a texture. It looks like airbrush! (Kind of). Here's an example: | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: mystic | | You can do alot with photoshop.
I made up this image for a paper I did on female serial killers....and used it as my title page...
You cant see it well (it came out small on here) but I fitted it to a regular page on film paper...and it is very amateurish, but it was very effective for my topic.
Anyways...any more stuff you got there sir sayzak? | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: mystic | | Hey guys!
I forgot all about this thread!
Thanks BTW!
Umm...yeah....I found the eye (after searching high and low) and did add the rest...if you look really hard...in the middle of the eye is an angel in black...and the blood drop is a tear...the hypodermic needle is on the right and the money is on the edge on the left....(most women serial killers are quiet killers...they kill for money and usually their method is poison...hence the money and needle)...
If I can get it bigger Ill do it....cause the angel in the middle of the pupil was really cool...the best part I thought. | | Reply To this Message

That is awesome. How long did it take you to do? |
Thanks!
After finding the picture of the eye...
Id say with adding everything and adjusting colors and such...about 15 minutes tops...

| Posted by: Sandy_Murray | | Ok, this is a car I modified using Photoshop... I took about 6 hours in total. It is my first effort, so I hope to improve soon
The quality of the pic is pretty bad too I had to reduce the size in order to post it. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Sandy_Murray | | This is my homage to Donnie Darko, I used Mystic's reflection idea in the eye, thanks ... | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Advance | | Do you want some ideas on how to make it better? I love critiquing art, and would be glad to help. But I don't want to seem like a(n) asdfg bustin' out with critiques. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Advance | | The images are great, I like the eye, except if you found one with a bigger resolution and scaled it down to make it fuller that would of been nice.
The blending is very good, but the text is what bothers me. Suggestion: Find a wavy font like that, then warp it to get that effect if you like that.
Then obey my #1 Rule for gd, BORDER!!! Just a 1px black border would do the trick, and make the image look 3.5681x better.

| Posted by: Advance | | Yes, the air brush doesn't follow suit of the movie I feel. Keep the text, change the way it is there. | | Reply To this Message

Yeah it is, I had to blow up a really small still from the movie, and then airbrush it in. I also blurred it to make it look more like the one from the movie.
Cheers Advance, I will try it with the border
