sister trouble with LotR

My family knows absolutely nothing about lotr they've seen the movies but dont get it.My sister knows alot about it(not more than me),but if I try to have a conversation about it with her she gives me the "your such an obsessed geek" and "grow up" speech it's annoying me.What should I do?

Oh dear, the family almost never understands what means much to you. Look for friends who share your interest instead.

I stopped counting the "you are weird" looks I got from my mother when I was about 14, and just went on doing what I wanted. She probably still (some 25 years later) thinks I'm weird, but she doesn't say it any more.

Just continue to come here for conversation. We respect your opinions here.

hey who says i'm wierd...oh wait...i guess thinking the Nazgul are cool qualifies as wierd...if not down right demented...
