Bush declares: "We must get rid of Arafat" |
| Posted by: Marc Flemming | | US President George W. Bush told an Israeli journalist that "we must get rid of" Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, the mass-circulation Yediot Aharonot daily has reported.
Bush's comments came in a brief exchange with the paper's correspondent during a Christmas drinks party in Washington, several hours after a keynote speech by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon Thursday in which he outlined plans for unilateral disengagement from peace negotiations with the Palestinians.
The US government has boycotted Arafat with Bush accusing the veteran leader of failing the Palestinian people. Israel has also shunned the 74-year-old, branding him an absolute obstacle to peace and confining him to his West Bank headquarters for more than two years.
Israel's security cabinet approved Arafat's "removal" in September, with one minister even suggesting that he could be assassinated, but Washington warned Israel not to attempt to expel him.
Bush was non-commital about Sharon's speech, saying that he would wait to see what happened on the ground.
"Speeches are good things, but they are words. I am waiting for action," he was quoted as saying.
"Now is the time to do a lot in the Middle East, and I am determined and committed to doing that. You can be sure that I have done a lot until now, but I am going to keep on doing. I am going to continue to be active and committed to my vision."

Greedy? - The Arabs have 22 countries. The Jews have 1. The Arabs still Complain. Who's Greedy now?
Ugly? - You obviously haven't seen any Female Israeli Models
Useless? - The State of Israel has produced a lot more technilogical, medical, and so on advances than all of the Arab world combined.

Lets see according to the Merkava 'stupidity formula" the U.S. have at leats 2 too many states and should give them up for resettlement. Florida should obviously be one if they can't even run an electoral system.
What technical advances Has isreal made and what ones have the arab states made? lets see a list for you to prove your point Merkava. | | Reply To this Message

How About YOU use Some common sense? I could make the same arguement about the U.S.
This uindisputably loopy arguement has never since the (mid 20th century) and will never be used in any other context to justify evicting a regions inhabitants just because a group has a hunger for territory to claim as their own and Israel was set up in the wake of a war against Hitler which occured (and his opponants maintained that THIS was the cause of their opposition to him,) because he was doing exactly what ypou think is justified in Israels case) The war against Hitler and Japan was moral condemnation of this type of act!
Finally of course you are determined to pretend that palestinians are not a distinct cultural group in a continuation of your Bigotry.

Your posts are beginning to get hard to decipher.
The one thing I could make out is something about Palestinians not being a distinct cultural group.
Well it's this simple. Palestine never existed - The West bank was controlled by Jordan, and the Gaza strip controlled by Egypt. So the Palestinians are simple Egyptians and Jordanians.
Does it suprise you that Yassir Arafat Was Born in Egypt? But of course - unsuprsingly he denies this and claims he was born in Jerusalem. You see lying is an everyday part of life for him.

Complete BS. As usual with fascists you decide you want to have the right to determine someone elses identity to suit your aims.
The palestinians have had 100 years of cultural development that is unique to them. Their origins their places of residence, their property is in palestine. you need to redefine Palestinians simply because it suits your arguement. But they did not come from Jordan they did not come from Egypt they were located in palestine.
And of course as with any 'good' fascist you ignore the fact, that your own favoured 'super humans' have much less cultral cohesion thasn the Palestinians you choose to crap upon. They have even had a difficult time deciding who a 'jew ' is or who is the 'right Jew' to have for their jewish state not to mention tht lack of a common country of origin, language, or culture.
But then being inconsistant has never worried you fascists has it.

So here are your arguments:
A) I'm a Facist.
B) Something about Palestinians having nothing to do with Egyptians and Jordanians.
A) Name calling wont enhance your argument.
B)As I previously mentioned, Egypt and Jordan both controlled the Gaza Strip, and the West bank. You have yet to debunk this, because it is fact.
I also showed you that the Palestinian Leader himself was Born in Egypt. But you say this is a coincidence.

Calling something a name is to identify it, as what it is.
In Fascists I see two defining characteristics Bigotry, as in your continually defining arabs as being less human than yourself or Jews and as a consequence having less rightsthis is easiet to demonstrate in your prevous claim that Arabs Human rights in Palwstine come second to the idea that Jews are entitled to a religious state at their expense. Secondly the concept that the powerful are entitled by the nature of their power to force their will on the weak, and have no responsibility to any other moral than this.
Your arguements with truthful, your use of the whole provocation arguement, shows you are a follower of this principle.
Further fascists tend to want to believe their Superiority is rationally justifiable and are prepared to use the most stupid arguments to back up their belief that they are superior. Nothing can bettter demonstrate this than yourr desire to claim the 1967 war, was justified by the 1973 Yom Kippor war.
I will continue toi call you a Fascist until. either someone proves to me you are not a fascist or until you stop using the ethics of Fasciosm for your morals.

I'm not going to go back through dozens of your stupid posts and find the exact one where you told me Jewish religious rights to Palestine come before Palestinian human rights. and even if I did you won't admit it. Racists often want to be racist but toio deny the fact of their racism. Maybe its a form of self-delusion. Another example, ( for readerrs other than you,) is the way you allow the subjective excuse of provocation for Israel but will never consider it for Arabs. Thus Israeli attacks are always provoked ( by definition) and Arab attacks are always unprovoked.

You've obviously never heard of Historiography - there are different interpretations of history - but i tend to only listen to the ones that have numbers to back it up:
1953: 800,000 Palestinians
2000: 3,800,000 Palestinians
Source: http://www.un.org/unrwa/
The Jewish population increased by 470,000 between World War I and World War II while the non-Jewish population rose by 588,000. In fact, the permanent Arab population increased 120 percent between 1922 and 1947.
This rapid growth was a result of several factors. One was immigration from neighboring states — constituting 37 percent of the total immigration to pre-state Israel — by Arabs who wanted to take advantage of the higher standard of living the Jews had made possible. The Arab population also grew because of the improved living conditions created by the Jews as they drained malarial swamps and brought improved sanitation and health care to the region. Thus, for example, the Muslim infant mortality rate fell from 201 per thousand in 1925 to 94 per thousand in 1945 and life expectancy rose from 37 years in 1926 to 49 in 1943.
The Arab population increased the most in cities with large Jewish populations that had created new economic opportunities. From 1922_1947, the non-Jewish population increased 290 percent in Haifa, 131 percent in Jerusalem and 158 percent in Jaffa. The growth in Arab towns was more modest: 42 percent in Nablus, 78 percent in Jenin and 37 percent in Bethlehem.

You have 2 arguements here one
The Arab population increased the most in cities with large Jewish populations that had created new economic opportunities. From 1922_1947, the non-Jewish population increased 290 percent in Haifa, 131 percent in Jerusalem and 158 percent in Jaffa. It would be worthwhile if you were indeed to confine yourself to the the facts and numbers, and the places where those number s were sourced from, ie places where we could tell where they came from.
How did you do on the sourcing and accuracy? Sourced for the first claim not, for the second. we have no idea wiether it has the numbers to back it up because you have no source. For the first, you manage to get both, what the numbers are about wrong, they are about Palestinian refugees not Palestinians and the numbers aren't even copied correctly.
From the second unsourced part I happen to know it comes from Joan Peters "From Time Immemorial' because I'm familiar with it. there is no independant evidence to support her claims of Arab Immigration. Independant examiners of her sources found that the Arab immigration proved was trivial. The Jewish proportion of the population started off as 10 percent of the population of palestine after WW I the Palestinians were the rest, the disparity in growth of the populations comes from Jewish mirgration.
The changes in Arab mortality, started before the Mandate period in Ottoman times , and were caused by Government not Jewish actions. Merkava is back on his, 'the future causes the past' kick again. (proving I was right to highlight the way he uses these specious arguements.) The Jewish draining of swamps and significantly altering mortality rates for Arabs is a fiction. the Actual increase was due to improved hygeine and health care.. The claim that arab populations in Jewish towns increased proportionally more is also highly exagerated.
Hsaifa retained a Palestinian majority until after its Palestinians w eree expelled. Jaffa had an insignificant Jewish population and 70,000 Arabs. These were not Jewish towns.

What I didn't prove is what I never claimed that you 'stated' Arabs are inferior ', the evidence is in your comments not your confessions, If you want to pretend you never claimed Israel had a superior Religious right to a state that came ahead of human rights for Palestinians, first lets hear you come out and say so.

Attention Merkav a you gave me your solomn promise that the Israelis would never attack oon Ramadan 5 mins after telling me you can't predict the future you didn't say I assume they will never attack nor did you say I believe . those 2 phrases make them youer opinion. As for the Israelis not attacking during Ramadan they are doing it for a political reason because they think it will give them an advantage Right now they have no need to attack in Ramadan. If they get desperate enough they'll attack then. but thats not the point thre point remains as we both know you are NOT qualified to speak about an unalterable future. nor to provide garauntees on that future.

Never heard of this Joan you speak of. |
ok you got it from Mitchell beard I was wrong on that. thanks for proviiding a sort of source , eventually. However those fiquere are the same as and use the same arguements as Joan Peters. Its hard to believe that 2 people independantly came up with the same fruad. Go to
http://www.capmag.com/article.asp?ID=2135 IGnore the references to Joan Peters, Paul Blair still refers to the original reports and statistics and see that the level of Palestinian immigration was and remains trivial and if you don't believe him fly to England Israel and Türkiyre and read the originals themselves.
