Who can forget the horrific attacks on the US on September 11, 2001? This date will forever be engraved in our memories. Bush told the nation that the ones who knocked down these buildings will soon hear from us. We all applauded and waited anxiously for the US to dispense justice in only a way we can.

Bush made a speech on Sept 20 following these attacks. I want you to notice in the link providing the 7 countries Bush stated as being on our State Sponsored Terrorism List. It details all 7 nations and why they are on the list. I want you all to note Iraq. It talks about their sponsorship of terrorism. What is conspicuously absent there is the name Al Qaeda being mention anywhere on our State Dept List of Sponsored Terror States.

Below there is two links. The second is just easier to read than the first, but they both say the exact same thing. The first has the State Seal on it.

I’ve always said, out of all the groups that Saddam has supported why is Bush now trying to tie him to Al Qaeda? I think it's obvious if you're honest with yourselves.

Although Saddam's capture is a great moment, it still does little to explain the absence of Bush's asserted undeniable proof. Al Qaeda is just alluded to to secure the mental support of the US.

Hmmm, still no takers? I thought so. You all have fallen for the oky doke. Tons of WMD. Undeniable proof.

Almost a year later and Bush is still looking for his clear and convincing evidence. What a bunch of gullibles

Isn't it funny how history repeats itself? I heard the same thing about the first Bush after we won the Gulf war. Man we had 8 years of decent leadership afterward.

So you go ahead and continue. I'm sure this time will be no different

I truly envy you if Howard Dean makes you feel secure in the war on terrorism. I just keep imagining the terrorists licking their lips if Bush doesn't get re-elected.
I can just picture Dean's response to another 9/11, "We must go to the UN in outrage and desperately plead that they help protect us ..." And when the UN does nothing, which is all they're capable of doing, Dean doesn't have the strength to defend his nation alone, he'd just sit back and wait for it to happen again.
Luckily for both of us I think the American peole will choose Bush again. There are those who would prefer a democrat in office no matter what the cost to our national security, and will slam Bush even in his success to make this happen. I personally think lieberman would be a strong leader for us, but the democrats themselves will make sure a moderate, respectable man will not get their nomination.

Hogwash and political ramble.

Look if you think terrorist are "scared" now because of Bush, why are they attacking our forces almost every day? If it wasn't for the great divide of water between us and the east, we'd probably would have felt the results of Bush's "war on terrorism" in Iraq long before now.

If this nation can tolerate an imbicile like Bush in office, then certainly Dean could. And that doesn't mean I'm endorsing Dean so rest your fingers

Those that are democrat would rather had a democrat in office. You think the republicans were any different with Bush Jr? The only reason he got the job is because of shady business in Florida. He was a dud and 9/11 gave the republicans something to cheer about because their new drip in office had something to champion the people behind.

I guess when Bush stops your overtime you will just be estatic about that now won't ya? Another give away to corporation. He didn't even focus on the economy until election time drew near. Yeah we're rebounding, but out of the toilet we sank in since he's taken office. And you want to grab your pompoms and cheer for this?

Oneofpeace, you are in denial.
You blame the recession on Bush even though it's well documented that he inherited it. At the same time you don't give him credit for ending it and bringing the economy back around. Absolutely bass ackwards.
You claim Bush 'only' got elected because of shady business in Florida ... as if Florida was the only state that voted in 2000. (I seem to remember Bush leading in the recounts anyway, i'm sure you've forgotten)
It's sad that all you see 9/11 as is some political event and nothing more. Very very sad.
You point to terrorists engaging our troops and say that it's a terrible thing, would you rather these terrorists engaged our civilians instead?
Talk about hogwash and political ramble, not to mention your attempt to insult me in your last sentence (an insult that you repeated in another thread). Don't you have a thread out about people who insult others because their views on the war are incompatable?

Ok that wasn't an attempt to call you a female. I was calling you a cheerleader, nothing more. I called you a cheerleader because you were cheering for jstvr. I'm convinced he has serious issues. If you find it insulting, then by all means I will cease and desists from it.

Yes there was shady business in Florida, but that's water under the bridge. So I will move on.

You believe by invading Iraq that this has put a dent in the terrorist network and degraded their ability? Have you been watching the news?

Let me say this. I agreed with all Bush's actions concerning the fight on terror until he gave us his bogus reasons for invading Iraq. He would not except anything less than invading that country, and when he started tying Saddam to 9/11 you should have at least raised an eyebrow since that was the first he mentioned it a year later.

Terrorist will always find it hard to get any WMD in this country. If you recall they used materials that were already here to commit the 9/11 events. Even the amthrax scare in the mail was thought by Bush and company to be a domestic issue. They were draining lakes in and around DC remember trying and suspected the Dr. in Maryland.

Look, this has done absolutely nothing to dent the terrorist network. It didn't even put a ding in it. Osama is busy as usual and Bush forgot the focus because he had it for Iraq and Saddam. He accused Saddam of 1001 things which most of it proved to be false.

Again, my apologies if you were offended by the pom pom comment. My aim isn't to offend you but to understand you. So far though, I'm failing in that regard. None the less I respect that you are entitled to your opinion. Your opinion just lacts factual evidence.
