Thread open to all things wicked and trivia about The Prisioner or Azkaban.

The song that is sung in the trailer is inspired by Song of the Witches from Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Thanks to my mommy for remembering it at reciting parts of it to me as a wee lass.

Act IV. Scene I.
A Cavern. In the middle, a boiling Cauldron.

Thunder. Enter the three Witches.
First Witch. Thrice the brinded cat hath mew’d.
Sec. Witch. Thrice and once the hedge-pig whin’d. 4
Third Witch. Harper cries: ’Tis time, ’tis time.
First Witch. Round about the cauldron go;
In the poison’d entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone 8
Days and nights hast thirty-one
Swelter’d venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first i’ the charmed pot.
All. Double, double toil and trouble; 12
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Sec. Witch. Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog, 16
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork, and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg, and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble, 20
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
All. Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Third Witch. Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf, 24
Witches’ mummy, maw and gulf
Of the ravin’d salt-sea shark,
Root of hemlock digg’d i’ the dark,
Liver of blaspheming Jew, 28
Gall of goat, and slips of yew
Sliver’d in the moon’s eclipse,
Nose of Turk, and Tartar’s lips,
Finger of birth-strangled babe 32
Ditch-deliver’d by a drab,
Make the gruel thick and slab:
Add thereto a tiger’s chaudron,
For the ingredients of our cauldron. 36
All. Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Sec. Witch. Cool it with a baboon’s blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.

I had to remember that whole play in high school it's never left me alone since.

Lucky you. We had to recite scenes from Julius Caesar. How fun that was. I can't believe that I did not spot where the song was from. For the record, Ron did know it was Shakespeare.

Wicked-the Deatheaters.

Do Deatheaters go through any training in the dark arts?

Voldemort is the only one who knows who they all are, so how do we know that there is not another traitor?

Hmmmmmm.... excellent point there, Sherry! Now you have me thinking!

Yes, I have a feeling someone will be pulled over to the dark side. Voldemort blackmails many of his people, so I wonder who will be next.

I'm worried that it will be Percy...

Yes, I think Percy's hunger for power will be his downfall. He would be easy to lure into a trap and I think Lucius will be the one to do it. It will break his parents hearts.

I agree... I can totally see it happening, without him even blinking and eye and knowing it.

What if:

Fudge is thrown out as the Minister of Magic... because people aren't happy that Voldemort is back and he was told, but denied it and did nothing, for almost a year. Then, Lucius get's that position, and look... what do you know.. Percy is now working for Lucius. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Wow! That would be a great plot. I too have a feeling Lucius will gain power. Percy would kiss his butt for a bit of authority.

Yes... I think that he would. Sad, isn't it? And he has such a loving family!
