Although it is a video game, hand and eye coordanation can come from playing video games, as well as puzzle solving and finding the best route to a destination.

It shouldn't be the only thing used for training, but I'm sure it'll help. Certainly couldn't do any damage

I agree, Grant... I don't think that it can hurt. I know that there should be real training... but this is a good way to practice!

As preparation for and in conjunction with staged exercises, for sure! Particularly multi-player games, where there are "gut" instincts and impulsive actions on the part of both sides - AI isn't quite there yet. And if it isn't already a poll question, sims too - flight simulators in particular, but if "Sim Iraq" had been out for a couple years, we might be doing better at things over there now...

Flight sims are used alot - NASA uses them for preps as well as the military.
