With a jet waiting for an exotic getaway, Melana chose Jason in NBC's "Average Joe" reality series Monday night.
After weeding out 15 other ordinary-looking suitors, Melana Scantlin selected Jason, the 27-year-old college student from California, to win her love. The show initially started out with goodhearted, but average-looking Joes pursuing Melana. The show later added hunks to spice up the mix.
In the two-hour series finale, the former Kansas City Chiefs' cheerleader went on overnight dates with each of the two hopefuls and visited their hometowns to learn more about them.
In last week's episode, Melana whittled the competition to two when she donned a fat suit and disguise to find out the remaining foursome's true intentions. With Melana playing her fictitious cousin Danielle, a hidden camera spied on Michael, Zach, Jason and Adam as they alternately made fun of the portly "relative."
The next morning, the Missouri native watched the tapes to see what the guys thought about Danielle. Melana, formerly a contestant on "Meet My Folks," later confronted the four about their candid reaction. After taking everything into consideration, model/waiter Michael and sales guy Zach were jettisoned from the show.
The next incarnation of "Average Joe," which was taped in Hawaii, debuts Jan. 5.
