| to beat this guy,and after many attempts,i found this way was the easiest to follow. immediately after the opening scene,use the assault rifle to lob only two or three of the 5 'y' button grenades available ,(keep the other two for later) at the silo he runs to. that should show his health bar drop a fair bit,if placed just so they miss the sides of this silo.
i then move to the closest silo a few feet away from you,to the right, CROUCH down and position myself so as i can just see.....(Notice that the top metal guard rail is a convenient height,and dosen't impede your bullets,this is what i cottoned onto as a way of stopping myself from being hit so much from him,and bringing on his ultimate defeat)... side of the silo he will run from behind, shoot at you, then go back,so you need to be placed so you can hit him twice with the assault rifle as he runs back and forth,if you can follow me!!IE hit him as best you can as he darts out,and again as he starts to return .you will take some hits,can't be helped.Stay in this position,he dosen't go anywhere else(at the moment).I forgot to say,before you start all this"Walkthrough"),return to the armoury,pick up what stuff you can. ie the heavy vest and some ammo,then go to the changing room cabinet where there are 2 medi packs,plus one on the table as you go in,which should now give you 2 small and 2 fullsize ones.
right back to my way...switch to the last weapon on the far right of your 'b' button weapon selection, give him some death dealing bursts,watch his bar drop!,BUT make sure you leave at least ,half your available ammo for the final bit.!.now just keep plugging away with the miniguns or the assault rifle still,and, watching your health,top up when down to about 25,or you'll die.i also used my twin pistols to great success in helping hit him often,as seen by the dropping line on his life bar.At about halfway down on his health bar,,there is a cut scene,and some of your allies die,falling etc,after which one rocket descends into the ground. I run to the next silo on the left and sneak around to where you can just see him again,CROUCH and use the same tatics. use the remaining 2 or 3 grenades( 'Y' button),and lob them from your assault rifle at him, as you did at the 1st silo. At this time, you should make sure your right hand weapon from the "b" button selection of arms (the one that fires 200,)and switch it to 'Burst" mode,to save ammo for the final assault coming up, and make sure it's loaded!! (actually do this BEFORE you start, like before you climb down the ladder!)
as his health bar drops to about less than a quarter thereabouts,another cut scene comes,and after this,ALL the rockets go down,leaving you exposed completely. switch to this last weapon immediately,as he will now go on a all out assault on you,rushing towards you,but 1st off in the distance,so you have a bit of time to target him,so line him up,and all going well with your shooting skills,and using the "burst" mode,he'll drop dead well before he gets anywhere near you,well it was like that for me,relieved and sort of 'stunned' to have beaten him...good luck cheers Jim..PS keep checking your health,as whatever weapon he uses,it's dam powerful, and it can drain you sometimes unexpectedly quick,so watch it closely | |
