ssh1-4 cancel the self destruct sequence

How do I cancel the self destruct sequence, I found how to get to the control room and then unlock the two doors by using the lock pick but I end back to the hall way to where I came from, I dont have a card key to unlock the door. Help, this is a pain.

shoot the lock with the bfg. then shoot all the computers. make sure you have enough ammo. then finish the game.

i dunno about the bfg...but ar granades, worked just fine

any gun works
