Sanctuary Entrance?...Help!

Does anyone know how to get into the sanctuary. I have pressed the wall plaque, inside the church, and the floor moves a couple inches?... Where do I go from there?

I'm at exactly the same spot. I've tried the level again and got to the same point 3 times and still the floor only moves a tiny bit. I even carried all the bodies in there and tried putting them on the floor panel! Hope someone knows the answer - thought I was doing pretty well up to that point...

easy just go to the big cross and keep on pushing it from behind

the cross will destroy the floor
