Yep. Welcome to the Harry Potter portion of the site HECK. We are all dying to get more of Harry and his adventures. June is so very far away, but the trailer is awesome.

I am kind of new to HP phenom. I wouldn't say that I'm a true fan. My first exposure to it was the 2nd movie and I thought it was kinda cool. My friends girlfriend is a huge fan and dragged us in. The first one was on cable after that... then I read the 3rd book. Not bad. I couldn't get through the 4th book though, too much.

I am interested to see how this new director takes the franchise.

HECK, you HAVE to read the fourth book. Trust me, you are going to be surprised. It only gets better and darker. My husband never read the books, but our son is a huge fan of the two movies, so we have watched them more times than we can count-he does a mean Hermione impression.

The new director I think will do a bang up job. The trailer looks awesome and will be the best of the series.

O.K. what is with the first row of the choir holding giant toads?

More surprising than the toads is the choir and the song itself. And Dumbledore is speaking from a podium made like an owl. What is Cuaron doing?

Apart from that, I like Sir Michael Gambon as Dumbledore. He looks impressive. I also like the shot where he lights a candle with a wave of his hand. A wizard of his power and stature should be able to do stuff like that without a wand.

I love the song. It is stuck in my head now. I agree MM, the new Dumbledore is great and he should be able to do things without a wand. After all, he is the most powerful wizard.

But we never heard a song in the great hall except in the first and the fourth book and never from a choir. It is bugging me to no end.

As for the 'most powerful', I would have to disagree. Voldemort is the most powerful wizard, Dumbledore himself admitted that to Harry.

Very true. I wonder if that was just one of those clubs they alluded to, but never let us see. Hmm.
