| General Introduction
Throughout history, lies, libels and distortions have been used to incite hatred, violence and even to legitimize mass murder. The Palestinian Authority [PA] by means of libels it spreads through its media has been portraying Jews and Israel as the embodiment of evil in the world long before the violent conflict. These lies and libels appear regularly in Arabic, to promote hatred among its own population and occasionally in English, to blacken Israel’s name internationally, (e.g. story of Jenin "massacre"). This section presents two collections of PA libels. First, libels from the period before the PA war started in October 2000, that were instrumental in creating a hate atmosphere in which killing Israelis would be presented as legitimate self-defense. Second, libels since the war began. Both collections are small representative examples from among hundreds of similar libels.
