What kind of tree do you have?

We puut our tree up tonite. It looks beautiful! This year we went with a colorful scheme. For the past few years we've had a victorian tree but this year I wanted something different. So we went and got our 7 1/2 Scottish Pine Tree tree. It is BEAUTIFUL!! Scottish Pine are my favorite!

Man...I cant remember what kind of tree I get.....

Its not a Scottish Pine...its more like the tree that looks really full...thats the one I get every year...I cant remember the name of the type of tree though...okay this is gonna bug me...Ill have to post it tomorrow...it will be embarrassing to ask my husband, but I dont have a choice now. Great...just great...Ill never live this one down!

Oh well.. all I know is that its green, and by the time I take it down, the needles prick my arm so much because I always fail to water it for the last two weeks.....I must remember to do that this year.....

You guys are talking about real trees ... not artificial and I'm wondering what you do with them .. that is how do you dispose of them after the holidays ?

I've kept them outside as winter shelter for the birds which is not a bad idea.

Anyway ... this year I am going to try to get a small to medium sized potted tree if possible, so I can plant it later !

Well, I will be the lone person to admit to a fake tree. I have had allergy problems for the last few years, so we have gone fake. I hope to go back to real trees when the kids get older.
All my decorations are gold and white.

Oldbutafan, our local recycle center takes the old Christmas trees.

Okay... I will be the first to say... we have NO tree!
We can't have a tree, because our 1 year old kitten will destroy it, like everything else.
We can't have a real or a fake tree. How depressing.
And normally, I would have the one at my mom's, but we're remodeling her house... nothing inside for xmas.

No tree, sorry Kris. Nicole keeps redecorating the tree when we are not looking. She likes to put the ornaments in clusters.

OBAF... nope, don't want a ceramic one. But, it IS a good idea.
And, we have MASSIVE remodeling going on over at mom's.
So, we have done the outside of her house!!! She's got some good stuff.

Artificial all the way! I don't have time to deal with a real tree. I bought an expensive seven foot fiber optic tree that is remote controlled and has a little train that goes around the base and a santa/with reindeer that "fly" around the top half. I hate Christmas, but my ex loved it so I ended up spending all this money on stuff I have now but won't use.

My tree now has gold, white and red ornaments on it. Damon had fun putting on all the red ones while he was sick. It brightened his day.

Okay... we have a tree! Remember, I said earlier in the thread that we have No tree? Well, the other night, my "adopted" grandma took us all to dinner for Xmas. She gave us a tree. It's about 1 1/2 ft tall. It's all these balls making up the shape of a tree, and there are lights throughout it. We plugged it in, and now have our own tree. It's different... but, it's a tree.

KJ, that ain't a tree! C'mon, if you are gonna have a tree, get at least a "real fake" one!

I can't... I have a 14 month old kitten who destroys everything.
My mom gave us the cutest xmas stand with a moose at the top.
We had to put it outside, because the cats decided it was a scratching post.
Nope... no trees for us. That one will have to do. In a couple years, we will.

There isn't a way to keep her away from it. Trust me... and I'm not putting it in the office or bedroom, and keeping the door closed for 5 weeks. Nope...

Um... get rid of the cat that destroys everything?! Let me weigh my options!

Please... I value the life of my kitten more than I ever will anything materialistic!
