| WOW - another loss by the Chargers. This isn't going as good as I or many people thought - according to the ESPN show featuring the rising Chargers that was on before the season started.
Antonio Gates was the star of this game, to me. He made some good catches to give some momoentum and get the game going. LT had a good game too, and Flutie was doing ok, considering the 2 interceptions and lost fumble. Boston made some good catches and i think that the Chargers, even though they lost, surprised many. The so called worst team in the NFL came close to the supposed best team in the nfl, and won the game by Las Vegas odds. I think that this game proves that the Chargers are a good team - even if their record doesn't show it.
I think they should sandbag the rest of the season. It sounds bad, but then they will be guaranteed a good draft pick, not that they need many more rookies. Brees should go in even thought Flutie is my favorite QB. He needs to gain more confidence and experience so that he can become great once Flutie leaves us.
The Chiefs weren't that great either, considering Quentin Jammer had 2 picks, and the Chiefs recovered a fumble and got 2 interceptions of of Flutie. By that alone, and the betterness of the team, they should have killed us. But we came close, and will get revenge next year. | |
