Soul sensation Alicia Keys is still reeling from year-old rumors she's gay -- because they won't go away.
The sexy singer enjoyed the joke at first, but she admits she's still forced to answer questions about her sexuality today.
And she's convinced people labelled her a lesbian because she's a "strong-minded woman."
She says, "I just kept walking and I was like, 'Where are you going with this? This is crazy.'"
"I absolutely am not gay. I think what happens is that any person who graces any TV set is gay.
"It stemmed from the fact I'm a strong-minded woman. I'm a person that is not demure. I'm aggressive. I say what I mean." | | Reply To this Message

Soul sensation Alicia Keys won't talk about her long-time boyfriend but she's happy to show people who he is -- as she can't keep her hands off him at parties and intimate industry shows.
The "Fallin'" star's man is 34-year-old producer Kerry Brothers, who's known as Krucial in R&B circles, and she's finding it hard to keep his identity hidden.
Revellers who attended the launch party for Keys' new album The Diary of Alicia Keys saw the couple showing off their love at Manhattan's Eugene club.
One fan says, "It seemed apparent this was the night Alicia decided to show the world that Kerry was more than just her record producer. She was openly kissing him."
Insiders claim Keys, 22, met Brothers when she was just 14 and a struggling wannabe musician busking on the streets on New York. | | Reply To this Message

Grammy-winner Alicia Keys believes she's finally put gay rumours to rest after adopting a more "girlie" style.
The Fallin' singer's sexuality was a constant source of speculation when she grabbed public attention in 2001, and she accepts her original style was responsible.
The 24-year-old says: "The whole gay thing was like, forever! I was like: 'Please, give me a break with the gay thing!' The tabloids started that rumour early on in my career. I was much less refined at that time, I guess. Not to say that I'm totally refined now, but the way I spoke was a little different and the way that I dressed. I've never been a super-girlie kind of girl, and they wanted to make up something."
Of her current style, she adds: "I guess I can be very girlie. I really notice that a lot lately. I am just evolving and not being afraid to try new things for myself… I think it's good to try things out and feel yourself in different places."
