My b/f is looking for feedback on his portfolio, if you are interested, you can see it

It is not really 100% finished so there might be some odd bits and pieces and dead links, etc, but that is pretty much what the finished product will look like.

He has just finished University and is going to be looking for work, so he wants to make a good portfolio. Any suggestions/ comments would be great.

Cheers.

I think that's pretty clever and a great start. Here's something that might help so people either expect a long wait, or have an idea of how much longer. Put a load bar on there or an approximate time.

If he plans on using that for his resume, not all business people have the patience to wait that long for it to load.

I'd like to know if the images are all original work, or from photographs.

Also, does he do ActionScript, and if so, to what extent?

To bad he's in Australia

Yes, everything there is original work, he did all the web pages, design, 3D modelling, he does all kinds of stuff.

I agree it takes too long to load, I only have dial up and it takes me AGES.

I think he does ActionScript, it sounds familiar, although I get a bit lost coz he does so much stuff.

Cheers Kooka for the feedback.

WOW. That is AWESOME. I love how he did the computer/speakers/cd tray. I was trying to accomplish a similar effect for my own site... I wonder if he'd share his FLA so we *cough*I*cough* cough could study it a bit.

(mine employs a similar computer, but it's not nearly as good)

I'm on DSL, and it took only a few seconds to load. And then that computer flipped up... that was awesome.

Kooks, I wanna see some of your work, too!

What software do you use to create your sound loops for Flash? I'm buying pre-made loops but I would like to figure out a way to create my own.

Any software suggestions?

Well... there's alwasy Fruity Loops... www.loopology.com was a great site, but now you have to have Audition to use any of the loops.

That's awesome... so much better than the one I'm doing. I'm jealous.

PS - If you need a loop for a presentation that you want custom-done, XoneLabs is the way to go. Email michael@xonelabs.com
