Rap superstar Eminem has been branded a racist after an American music magazine discovered a 10-year-old record in which he attacks black women.
The Source magazine played a tape of the tracks they claim were recorded in 1993 when Eminem was 21 at a press conference in New York yesterday.
In them, Eminem raps about a bad experience with a black girlfriend and warns of the dangers of dating black women, "Blacks and whites they sometimes mix / but black girls only want your money cause they're dumb chicks.
He continued, "Don't date a black girl / if you do it once you won't do it twice.
"Black girls are dumb, and white girls are good chicks."
Eminem, 31, quickly issued a statement following the revelations, admitting he was responsible for the tracks, but defending his actions as immature "stupidity," claiming they were recorded when he was a teenager.
The statement reads, "The tape they played today was something I made out of anger, stupidity and frustration when I was a teenager.
"I'd just broken up with my girlfriend, who was African-American, and I reacted like the angry, stupid kid I was. I hope people will take it for the foolishness that it was, not for what somebody is trying to make it into today."
Eminem's statement continues, "Ray Benzino (Scott), Dave Mays and The Source have had a vendetta against me, Shady Records, and our artists for a long time."
Scott, Source co-owner, maintained the charges against Eminem should be taken seriously and told the press conference the magazine plans to distribute copies of the tapes with next February's issue.

Eminem's ex-wife Kim Mathers has finally appeared in court after missing two prior hearings and being branded a 'fugitive.'
Mathers, 28, was due to appear before two Macomb County, Mich. courts earlier this month, and a bench warrant was issued for her arrest after she failed to attend.
The mother of the "Lose Yourself" star's only daughter Hailie faces two separate drug charges -- one relating to an incident in September where ecstasy and marijuana were seized at a hotel party she was hosting, and one relating to a "powdery white substance" found in her car.
After Mathers went missing, the court granted Eminem temporary full custody of Hailie, stating, "Kimberly Scott Mathers' parenting time is suspended as long as she remains a fugitive, or until further order."
Mathers, who posted a $50,000 bond on her arrival in Macomb County Circuit Court yesterday, will now face further charges, relating to her absence from the earlier hearings.
EMINEM has denied accusations of racism after the discovery of a track in which he insults black women.
Source magazine owners Ray Benzino and Dave Maysrevealed the song, from the early 1990s, includes the line: ``Neverdate a black girl, because blacks only want your money/ And that sh*t ain't funny.''
Benzino said: ``We gotta treat this the same way you treat Mike Tyson, like you treat Kobe Bryant, like you treat R Kelly, like you treat OJ Simpson.''
Eminem insists he isn't racist and said the recording was made when he was young, foolish and angry. ``Ray Benzino, Dave Mays and The Source have had a vendetta against me for a long time, '' he said.

Rap mogul Russell Simmons has stepped in to support Eminem over the row about his racist rap lyrics.

Now Simmons, who heads up the black activist group the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, is keen to put an end to the controversy and urges fans to accept Eminem's apology -- making a subtle dig at the hitmaker's poor background in the process.
He says, "These lyrics are disgusting, but the oneness of hip-hop culture has transformed many young people in trailer parks around the country away from their parents' old mindset of white supremacy.
"We believe Eminem's apology is sincere and forthright."
