One of the reasons given for this war on Iraq is Saddam's funding of terrorist groups.Isnt that a case of the pot and the kettle considering America funded the IRA.I for one do not think Tony Blair should have been so quick to join a war with a country who funded terrorism against his own people. He has put us in the forefront of terrorist attacks.Thank you Mr.Blair.

And England murdered thousands of my people long ago and raped their women.
Each country has it's own dark past - the US isn't the worst of them.

America is among the worst of them. You talk about raping and killing, remember what you lot did to the North American Indians. You even resorted to biological warfare back then with smallpox infected blankets.Hypocrites..................America,the worlds great protector......................the worlds great dictator more like.

If you care to go back to the those days...Calibra....Lets look at the Empire building all the nations of europe did. To the very far reaches of the world they moved out, took over by fear or force nearly every available land mass known and newly found.

Doesn't France even till this day, attempt to hold onto and manipulate those countries from long ago? Doesn't Russia? Germany would have, but fortunately for everyone, they were stopped from their empire building, but had they not, it's very conceiveable that every european nation would be speaking German as their native tongue.

Why is it, that as we see recent, very recent, photos emerging from Iraq, of civilians and military alike thanking the Coalition for coming to free them?

Let me ask, since alot of you wish to go back many many years....how did the Germans treat the prisoners of war? How did the Russians treat the prisoners of war? What attrocities did they commit to civilians after they surrendered?

Why is it that the coalition forces are stalling around some of the cities, instead of charging straight in to commit these atrocities that alot of people are speaking of? To allow the Iraqi military and civilians a chance to lay down any arms. Did Napolean grant his enemies the same opportunities? Did Hitler?

Don't go back to far in history in your attempts of searching for facts and examples....yes...nearly every nation has done it.

If you are so for peace and so against this war, why didn't you speak out when you really had the chance and your voice was really crucial? For 12 years all of the nations have overlooked and allowed Saddam to defy every nation and bring pain upon his people.

For every instance that anyone against the US, or attempting to show Anti-US rehtorics....be leary...since you all have done the same.

If you want to say that the US is only in this for the Oil and Money....I can say that the French/Germans/Russians are opposed to anyone going into Iraq for Oil and money. The facts are there, they are out in the open, the three European countries who are standing at the forefront of the opposition are in it for the money.

Let me clarify one thing.I abhore Saddam and his regime and would like to see him taken out but what I am saying is who give America the right to pick and choose who has what in this world. Why haven't they marched into Israel and demanded dissarmourment of their nuclear weapons or Pakistan.India etc......No country in this world has the right to march into another and change their goverment no matter how bad.Every country has different cultures and religeons and not all want to live the american way with a Mc Donalds on each corner.Saddam should be removed but it should have been done diplomatically through the U.N and not by the bullying USA who seem to think they are invinsible and can do anything they want and I am just as displeased with my government who suck up to the US.

calibra101 - that's nothing compared to the European crusades. More people died during that then nearly any other according to Cambridge History books.
Did the US do this? no, we didn't exist.
Did you see the happy iraqi's?
you would probably prefer the grinder that chops them up still being active then their freedom?
are you free?
do you enjoy it?
why do you not want others to have this freedom when there is a chance then?
Why do you want Saddam to continue raping 12 year olds?
Do you enjoy it?

who's the hypocrite now?

It's sad but it appears to be a strong "yes" there. France and others do not wish to lose their billion dollar contracts and the Kurds have stated they will.
Let's say -- Saddam gives France free oil.
France Vetos - end of story.
OIl?
sure.

Lets see how happy the iraqis are in 6 months time when they are still under occupation.Do you think the television pictures of happy iraqis tell the true story, propoganda works for both sides. The ****es hate the US for not backing them after the last gulf war, when they rose against Saddam and where left to fend for themselves. As for what other countries have done in the past this is history, something we are supposed to learn from

****es?
Shi'ites? Some do but they were the ones cheering on TV the other day.
The majority appears to be happy and excited, the minority may not be.
We do not know how they will feel about the occupation. Afgan leaders do not want us to leave them yet - they feel they are not ready.
Perhaps the same will happen once this is completed?

It's not just about the oil. Bush also must serve his masters in Jerusalem. The occupation will be difficult once the people who don't yet get it, realize that Bush has been sent to subjugate them to Israel.
