Where is the Iraqi air force? Are they hiding in the hopes of coming back when the war is over? I have heard nothing about destroying them on the ground or in the air. Are they there at all? Presumably Saddam thinks he can carry on in some way after the war and therfore he will need the air force?

damn, where do you come from ?

Iraq has no army in the sense of a real strong army.

Soldiers:
Republican army: 50 to 70.000 soldiers
Special republican army: 10 to 15.000 soldiers
Saddam's Fedayin: 30 to 40.000 soldiers
Jerusalem army: 150 to 180.000 soldiers

Rem: only Special republican army has been continuesly trained and well paid. They have what is the best regarding weapons from what's was available before 1991 .....

Armament materials:

Tanks: 2200
Armored vehicles: 3700
Artillery: 2000
Fighting planes: 300
About 50 missiles

50% of that materials are obsolete or unusable ....
