There's no denying that she's a total babe.. "so cute she looks fake", but... her intellectually music is for teens. Unfortunately I think as a role model, she's a bad one for teens. It's too much about being cool, having attitude, "image", making a statement.................. and sex appeal. In my mind, these are all the wrong goals for our teenagers. It's too bad that now they have no greater aspirations than to be like Britney and the likes. Of course role models like these hav always been around and one could argue that that's where parental guidance comes in, but now it seems, more than ever, that with the proliferation of new and/or improved means of communication and media, there are an ever-expanding set of focus distractions for our youth.. who are they going to want to listen to, the super-popular, glamorous sex-appeal star who says they can be cool too.... or their boring parents who make them do Kitchen Patrol and get pissed for staying out past 9:00..?
i think britney spears is a <removed>. it seems like she juss wants to be famous so that she can meet alot of guys and ****. and she looks like a barbie doll how can any guy think thats a turn on. you know if a guy ever looked like a ken doll to me i would get so turned off. like omg why would you wanna look fake anyways?? wuts the point??? when you look fake people aint liking you they are liking the fake you. like britney puts on a fake face and attitude and **** it is so obveous that she wants people to like her but they dont like her they like the person they see. that is so stupid. and if people dont like you for who you really are then they aint really worth the time expecally if you have to take that long and go threw alot of **** to look fake like cum on now
britney spears is not fake- the only time she looks fake and like a barbie is when they airbrush all her pics to look fake, she is really hot-and people really shouldnt be name calling or saying she has a fake attitude when you've never met her.
here she is showing off her keen fashion sense with an R rated belt buckle. How things have changed. Not so long ago she was the virginal role model to millions of young girls. First the kiss, now this, what's next. . . Superbowl half time next year?
Pop superstar Britney Spears is embarking on a strict exercise regime -- because she's finding it difficult to keep up with backing dancers on her Onyx Hotel Tour.
The sexy singer is struggling to cope with the demanding performance routines, and some onlookers are surprised at just how out of shape she really is.
One fan tells British magazine Star, "It was kind of gross. She was drenched in sweat and out of breath from her dance moves."
An insider says, "She gets lots of massages and manicures. They distract her from the corn chips and cocktails."
Sean Kelly said this in post #1 : In my mind, these are all the wrong goals for our teenagers. It's too bad that now they have no greater aspirations than to be like Britney and the likes.
I think teenagers definitely have better people to look up to who set a higher standard - Stacie Orrico comes to mind for one. I think that Britney doesn't want to be a role model, she just wants to do her own thing. She's definitely following in Madonna's footsteps, and Madonna has always created mega-controversy b/c she has been such an awful role model. But neither Madonna nor Britney ever asked or tried to be one, you know? It's sort of just pushed upon them due to their popularity, whether they want it or not. I *wish* that Britney would think more about how her performances really affect younger girls, but it's obvious that she wants to get away from that whole age group altogether. As evidenced by current sex-drenched tour.
Schmiggens - I'm curious where you found that article? I was wondering why most of the pics I'm seeing of her tour look like she's working way too hard...
Hmm, don't remember now where I got it. But I think I actually saw it twice and only posted it once so I assume it is real. She has been really tired lately, she had that short break when MATM came out and she collapsed in the UK and then I heard her hair was falling out from stress and her hair extensions. SO I belive the story, it is easy for "normal" people to get exhausted doing our jobs, so touring must be super-exhausting.
Role models = Parents, war hero's, scientists, teachers and many other worthy professions
Role models DON'T = Singers, sport stars, bands, movie stars and many others.
I don't understand why parents don't let there children know this. As for Britney she will never be able to do anything that makes everyone happy. It's that simple. I just hope that she makes her self happy first, then everything will get alot easier.
