| 11.06.03 - The wait continues.
Head Coach Marty Schottenheimer decided against naming his starting quarterback for Sunday’s game against Minnesota on Thursday, opting instead to wait until Friday to make the announcement.
“I know the question that is on everybody’s mind with regard to the quarterback and we’ll announce that tomorrow,” said Schottenheimer after Thursday’s practice.
Speculation abounds as to whether incumbent Drew Brees will hold onto the position or if Doug Flutie will get the nod this week. Both worked in Thursday’s practice, as is customary.
“I thought they both did a nice job today,” said Schottenheimer.
Fans, as well as the Vikings coaching staff, will have to wait until Friday for the decision.
“We’ll make the announcement tomorrow and let the speculation continue,” said Schottenheimer.
