Thought that would get more than a few chuckles!

I've got another "thanksgiving" post that I'm going to do.
But, I need to go to a meeting in a few.

Thanks, mystic. It is funny, isn't it? And, ummmm... one of the guys from Siskel and Ebert is dead, right? I think that he's with someone else now.

Anyway... thanks for the two thumbs up.

Siskel died awhile back...but everytime I give the two thumbs up...its hard not to give the original team the credit....so I call it "the Siskel and Ebert" two thumbs up!

Yeah, good thinking, mystic. And it's true... how can you give two thumbs up and not remember him!?!?!

KJ, my stomach hurts!!

That was good, but you'd better be careful... You never know how gullible some people are... I actually stayed away from this thread yesterday because I didn't have anything to offer on how to cook a turkey. Someone might actually take this recipe and try it out!

Take 4 whisks of drinkey!
Turk the bastey!
Turk the carvey!
I also love steps 14 and 15!

To think, I came into this thread thinking I was gonna ask the question if anyone has ever tried to deep-fry their turkey!

Sierradaddy...I was gonna do the same thing!

how wierd.....that was the only offering I had to give....

Its really good that way isnt it?

BUT....when I got on here...I noticed the post and started cracking up!

Hey, you can still ask about doing a deep-fry, but, you might want to do that in the Food forum. Okay? Sorry for the confusion... maybe I should change the title! What do you think?

I'm so glad that I made you laugh. Too funny. I don't think that I would make it past Step 6. I think that would knock me out!!!

Tangy... actually, I'm not taking it personally. Just wanted to "play" with ya a little. I like that scene from My Cousin Vinny. Have you seen that? If you haven't seen that, then you wouldn't realise that I was playing!!!

Could you imagine trying to cook a turkey like this though? Oh man, that would be one heck of a Thanksgiving celebration! I don't think that I would be awake to eat though.

Yes, you can! They sell deep fryers, just for that purpose. It's a real big thing in the south, to do that. Really good!!! Can't get my family to want to do that though! Oh well... I guess that I will have to do without.

Can you actually deep-fry a whole turkey?

Ok....

Either KJ is so fast that she actually POSTED A RESPONSE to schmiggens a FULL DAY before he asked his question, or I'm reading everything wrong...

First off, the last post showing for this thread when I entered it was KJ's on Nov 9, but schmiggens' post if from the 10th.

!?!

KJ, are you really THAT fast, or are you still playing around (this time with me?)?

No... that's when we had the time change. And, there were posts that happened before we changed the clock on the entire site. Unfortunately, it doesn't put the posts in order. So, there are some that got messed up.

But, to answer your question... I'm THAT fast!

ROFL!! So I see... AGAIN!

I've personally never had a deep-fried turkey, but I guess that should be left to the food forum as you suggested...

Yep....and it is awesome!!!!

I had one for the first time last year. I remember saying the same thing....I didnt think it was true...but some friends of ours fried one at a party they had...it was incredible!

You guys need to try it....you'll love it! It takes less time to cook it that way, than it does in the traditional oven manner!

Yummy!

Great one Mike. After all her cooking, I don't think she would be driving, or standing, when the officer meets up with her.

Good thing that I NEVER drink and drive, eh?!!!
Well, first off... I'm not a big drinker.
And secondly... I couldn't get behind the wheel if I had.
Heidi and my mom would have my butt in the backseat!
