| On the outside, 311 has a punk/boyband look to them. In some ways they are a typical rock band. However, what seperates them from most of the world is their stubborn positivity. Their songs don't always "sound" positive or happy, but they almost always have a message of "unity" -which is a common theme when it comes to 311. They have an album, a song, many lyrics, and a nation-wide tour all under the name "Unity". If their music isn't positive, it's "in your face" energatic, with a party feel to it. Partying is also common when it comes to 311. They have songs to accomidate any emotion.
