Hello ,
I am Sonya.I am very excited to play Silent hill 2 game .But I am facing a problem.I downloaded the latest patch for the game.
Whenever I try to start the game the game crashes it doesnt start.It says 'this game was crashed the last time it was played using safe graphics options".Please help.
I tried a lot but it doesn't start.

My computer has Intel 810E motherboard,windows 98SE,40 GB HDD,12X CD ROM.

What are the system requirements for the game?

i know every video chipset will not play every game, but i see quite a few 3d games that will not run on an integrated Intel graphics chipset. the first thing i'd do (after verifying i met the minimum system requirements) is disable the integrated graphics and try to run the game on an external graphics board.

here are the min. system req. Ron:

System: PIII 700 or equivalent
RAM:64 MB RAM
CD-ROM: 4X CD-ROM
Video Memory: 32 MB VRAM
Hard Drive Space: 1800 MB
Sound Board: Yes
DirectX: DirectX v8.1

I know Windows 98SE was kind of buggie. It is probably a problem with video card compatibility combined with Win98.

Again you might want to check with the game manufacture.

Hi Sonya, unless you tell us what is your video card we will not be able to help; reason for the crash could be due to old drivers for your video card or your sound card. May be you are running an old PC (I noted that you are using a 12X CDROM which give me an indication that your PC is old for new games)

I think something's wrong with my computer...I can't read any more new posts in the chocolate addicts club, it stops after 501 posts! But it keeps showing that people are posting in there. And it showing in the General Discussion forum that there is 520 some posts, it just won't let me read them...It's been doing this with a few other threads now too, it's just a little bit irratating Can anyone help?
