There are many theories about what could happen in book six to lead onto events in the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series. Here are some of the more likely possibilities.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • From what we know of book 5 it could be very likely that Harry will inherit all of Sirius' belongings as his heir and will have the responsibility of 12 Grimauld Place and will also be the new master of Kreacher which could lead to some quite interesting developments.

  • We hear Nearly Headless Nick say "I know nothing of the secrets of death... I believe learned wizards study the matter in the Department of Mysteries." This can be linked to the veil Sirius fell through which could be a gateway or portal to the path from life to death (a different plane) and due to that purpose could be used as a direct link to make contact with the dead. This could also tie in with the possible title "..and the Chariots of Light" because light is often linked with travelling to heaven when you die (old mythology).

  • There is a chance that Mr. Weasley could be made Minister of Magic. First of all we know that people are going to be very unhappy with Fudge and events in book 6 could make things worse. Dumbledore would be put into a very powerful position and could be given the chance to choose Mr. Weasley or Mr. Weasley might earn the position himself. Also Ron joked about this, "they have as much chance of winning the house cup as dad becoming Minister of Magic." and his stupid little jokes often become right or hold some meaning.

  • This book holds bad time for Percy because of his supposed betrayal but the letter to Ron warning him about Harry and Dumbledore could prove otherwise. There is evidence in the letter to show that Percy might be undercover in the Ministry and his close position to the Minister has given him great influence. The letter actually holds possible warnings about Hogwarts' takeover and Dumbledore's removal so maybe the argument was staged to get him on the good side of Ministry members.

  • There is a slight chance that Voldemort is now more human than before. At the end of book four human blood was used to bring Voldemort back to life and when Harry explained this Dumbledore had a 'look of triumph' so maybe this blood has weakened his immortality eventually leading to more of a weakness in the future books.

  • In some way we can be almost completly sure that someone or something will be linked with Egypt or Alchemy in this book. Some of the possibilities include Harry going to Egypt or everyone discovering Nicholas Flamel is still alive and he turns out to be of some help.

  • It is theorised that this book will be the final turning point in the war. Although there is still book seven to be read it almost certain that this is the book that wizards begin to win and Voldemort is almost gone for good and book seven will be the final outrage when Voldemort will fall although we don't know who could fall with him.

I can only agree with you about one thing. The inheritance theory, the others are so very far fetched that they are not going to happen. i can almost guarentee that they wont come to pass, i mean wher'd you get mr. weasley becoming minister of magic. Good theories
