Construction will continue in West Bank

JERUSALEM Israel said Wednesday that it would not stop building a security barrier in the West Bank despite a United Nations resolution demanding that the fence be torn down.

A day after the resolution's approval, Israel's deputy prime minister, Ehud Olmert, said that the construction would continue. He told Israel Radio, "We have to worry about Israel's security, and it is clear that we will not act according to the instructions of a hostile, automatic majority" that "has always acted against Israel."

The chief Palestinian negotiator, Saeb Erekat, called the nonbinding UN resolution a victory for peace.

"The world has just sent a powerful message that the shortest way to peace is not through settlements and walls, but rather through a meaningful peace process that will end the Israeli occupation that began in 1967," Erekat said.

I think we should bomb those rotten, rogue BA$TARD$ for not obeying UN resolutions.

just like iraq, Israel should be allowed at least 10 years to defy u.n. resolutions.

Israel has a right to build that wall. It would make it much harder for the bombers to get into their country. However, I think they are wrong for extending that wall into Palestinian territory. It lends credibility to the Palestinian argument that Israel wants their land.

Do you people honestly think that wall would be there If Israel stopped getting bombarded with Suicide bombers who have no regard for life, or peace?
