Clay isDOUBLE PLATINUM in 1 week

Good Morning America had Clay and CLIVE DAVIS on.
Clay has had 615,000 reported sales in one week. This is the biggest sales in ten years for a 'DEBUT' album.
Clive Davis stated that this is the first time an artist has gone DOUBLE PLATINUM in ONE week
They have shipped two million copies to stores.
Billboard named Clay 'Best of Pop for 2003'

Oh Yeah, I saw it and it was wonderful! I think he was shocked but none of his fans are. That should shut alot of people up! They don't want to admit he could do it. But I always knew he could! Go Clay Go!!

oo i am soo proud of him... i knew he was the best, now simon cant keep insulting him and saying it was just his song choice that made him popular.

I cried when I heard. I am so proud of him. I turned my radio on at work at 8:40 CT and they were just announcing it. I recorded GMA so I hope it worked!!! I'm surprised Clay didn't cry! And to think he was the Wild Card, and almost didn't make it through the original audition because of his "look" (which we all adored from the beginning).

Come on ladies lets have a group hug in HONOR of Clay Aiken!

Clay became speechless when Clive Davis came out and gave him a big 'bear hug'. After Clive finished with the praises and compliments; Clay was overwhelmed. Clay was surprised over how well he did. He did say that he would find a place to put it on the wall when they asked him what he would do with it. I don't think it had sunk in. He was so stunned.

i'm so proud!! he did sooo great!!!! i think he WAS really shocked! i thought he was going to cry!! i would!! when Clive came out the the plaque he was probably thinking "platinum" but DOUBLE platinum???? he must be so happy!!!!!!

if clay hadnt of made it passed wild card i dont think i would know what to do... lets keep that in the past and celebrate now!!!! O he is the best... i bet if we all gave him a group hug, all of his fans it would fill up like an entire state or two!!!

Stores here in Va Bch were sold out in two days. I wonder how many people are out there that couldn't find them. We know that if the group hug was two states it would have to be Alaska and Texas. If the stores had been prepared; well his sales in this area would have, at least, doubled. We are talking about thousands of lost sales for that week.
Then there are the pre-teens that haven't been able to get to the stores. Clay's sales have only just begun. don't forget to get out there and buy another to give as a gift to someone.

A state or two?!?! Oh no, Steph06 I'd say atleast all of the east coast. With everyone standing shoulder to shoulder.

Yeh, now we have to start getting the 'Clay' haircuts and dressing like him. umm; maybe not. The fans dressed like the Beatles in the 60's. Maybe we could just transfer our favorite picture of him on T-shirts. Oh, and, of course, an oversized nightshirt. Then we could hold him tight as we go to sleep listening to that GLORIOUS CD. well, as I said before; I am addicted. hmmm- I think I need to download a picture and get busy if I am going to do that before I go to bed.
