Have you all heard of Latif? Well his song entitledont want to Hurt you is off the chain it has a very good message and I just wanted to know if anybody else was feelin that song or if you have even heard of it.

Yeah, Latif's album was released last month on Motown, and features production by Ted Bishop, Brian Michael Cox and Leland Robinson (among others)... Though his voice is fantastic, over all his album is loses a little due to poor arrangement, though it's still worth getting, in my opinion. But yeah, 'Don't Wanna Hurt You' is a good start for a new artists. Hope he develops a more distinct style and gets some good albums out soon.

Latif is currently in the studio working on his next album...I think the problem with people not knowing who he is rests wholly on the shoulders of Motown....

Yeah that's very true because they dont promote there artists like they used to.

And that is a shame

Motown suck now, they were going under before they got Boyz II Men in the 90's, and now they're just staying above water standing on the shoulders of Brian McKnight, India.Arie, maybe even Donnie and Kem are doing alright for them... but that's not going to last forever. They need to bring out the best in their artists and promote them more.

And that's today's rant about Motown. Tomorrow: Arista.

I didnt hear of Latif either.when was he supposed to come out?

He came out around the middle of last year... though if you listen to popular R&B though, you probably wouldn't have heard of him.

Yeah he had a single called "I dont want to hurt you" and he had a video to it It got popular where I'm from but died out very quick, he has alot of potential, I just think he needs better producers and promoters.

Yes they did they had alot of potential also, I was just thinking about there song the other day I wonder what happened to them but we know that motown is known for one hit wonders

I try think of Motown as a label that brought us classic artists: Stevie Wonder, Isley Brothers, Marvin Gaye, Temptations, Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Rick James ( )

But it just doesn't happen anymore.

Yeah your right about that they brought us alot of classics but you cant forget about the Jackson 5!

Y'all just don't know. Alex Boyd...that white boy from FAME....this dude is releasing his single pretty soon. He's gonna be singing R&B....i don't know how I feel about that. I think justin is the only white boy who can pull that off. This website he has is pretty lame too<REMOVED>

latif is great. i think his neww cd will get him out there more i wonder y motown has been pushing hard fa him i never heard his song on the raido i only saw i like 2 on bet midnight love .motown need to do some work i dont think i know about any of there current artist .do yall ?
