What's the Big announcement?? Did anyone else hear Merideth say on the View today that there was going to be a big Clay announcement today or tomorrow??

I hope it's a tour and he's coming to Canada!!! Wait I hope it's just a Canadian tour!! Hee hee.. kidding...

If anyone finds out let me know....

I heard the announcement on The View too. I emailed my radio station and they responded they don't know anything about it! I hope that it is that his album as gone platinum already

I betcha that's what it is. I wish I knew when/where they were going to announce it.... Grrrr!

I saw it too. I bet it is about his album. I went to a Walmart in Suffolk and they had sold out the first day. I had to drive another twenty minutes to buy the CD's. I went to Hampton, Va and they only had two left.
In Va. he appears to be VERY popular; so I bet it is the same every where. He exceeded their expectations and the stores had to re-order.
I wish I knew where to listen, too. Would it be on the news? Maybe on one of the Entertainment shows that come on after the news?
I hope he goes on tour as well, but not until after the holidays. his schedule is quite full now.
If he does go on tour I am going to spring for a front row seat at the ampitheater; no matter what the cost!! Maybe I better tell everyone to just give me cash for Christmas and start putting away some; just in case.
Please, if anyone hears what the announcement is; post it right away.

On the view they said, "listen for a really big announcement in the next couple days, that's all we are aloud to say, so watch your TV and listen; all we can say is that there is a REALLY, REALLY big announcement!!". They made a very big deal out of it and Clay has that sweet confused look on his face. You know the look. It is so endearing...)

OMG!!!!!! i haven't seen it yet, but i taped it, so i'll probably watch it tomorrow morning.

I THINK the big announcement was the Billboard review - honestly - this is a major thing!!! Comparing the CD to Thriller and calling it the Album of the Year BY BILLBOARD is pretty freaking huge for a guy with 2 days of record sales under his belt.

It might not seem like it but Clay gain A LOT of air play with that review.

It's like it gave Clay a solid foundation and told people "out of the loop" that he is not just another "Idol" guy riding a wave.

You guys are sooooo blessed. It seems like you could watch any performance without being bothered. Not the same at my house, it's almost like he controls the world! I missed the performance on the CBS morning show because I thought that it was going to be on Good Morning America, apparently I misread my ClaySchedule. So I thought to myself, maybe I could see the one on The View. Ok. I came this close to seeing it. But like I said my brother controls the world. He said that I couldn't watch in because we don't normally watch the View. That's no a legitimate reason. I am sure there are many shows you guys wouldn't naturally watch until clay was on it. Anyway, All I got was a glimpse of him walking to a chair, and sitting on it. Then I saw Meredith in a banana suit? Anyway, he shut it off, bcuz he said he couldn't concentrate on his Nintendo. (duh). I didn't know what time the view came on, so I didn't set my vcr to tape it. brothers. I cried and cried, but he wouldn't relent. And you know what he said? He said that he won't be like clay, and let me watch it because I pestered him. Isn't that a nasty thing to say about clay?!!!!!!!!!! At that moment it was like all rage, just exploded! And my whole world was crashing, and I screamed DON"T YOU TALK ABOUT HIM LIKE THAT!!! and he said, yeah, like what can you do to me? he's just a star.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I HATE THAT!

that sux!! merideth was in a hot dog costume cuz she lost a baseball bet.......which brings me to my next point......LOTS of women will be watching baseball today, lots of women who usually DON'T watch it. yeah, we ALL have watched stuff we don't normally watch cuz of clay!! i can't believe he's sining at the world series!!!! but think about it......we stayed up late to watch jay leno, and then woke up early to watch Good Morning America. Clay controls us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND they always have him on VERY LAST cuz they know that's why half the viewers are watching!! I was off this week so caught all his performances on tape. Does he have anything next week? I'm going to go through Clay withdrawal next week.

i'm going to go through Clay withdrawl until he's on tv next....in like NOVEMBER!!!!!! Poor us!!!

WHAT IS THE STUPID BIG ANNOUNCEMENT?????? I'M GETTING ANXIOUS!!!!

I had the same problem about sharing the TV. I saw this comimg and went to Wal*Mart and bought a little 13' color TV. It was real cheap. All the shows he's been on so far I have been able to see perfectly with the 'rabbit ears' of the TV. I am going to get a cable splitter so I can watch the MTV and other stuff. Sure is easier than having a fight. See if your parents will give in and buy another TV. Explain that for less than one hundred dollars they can solve a sibling spat. They just might go for it. Or maybe your brother could use the second TV for his Nintendo; then you wouldn't have to mess with the cable and rabbit ears.
Let me know if that helps. Hope so. you shouldn't have to miss it. It's not like he would be missing anything to wait to play Nintendo.

That would be good for Clay... but slightly dissapointing since we've hyped it up so much... besides we already know that he RULES

Where do we go to hear the news? Will it be the morning news?
I don't know where to go to hear? Is there some place on the internet I should go look in the morning?

I figure RCA will do a press release, which means just keep checking the news sites. www.clayaiken.com is the official website- I figure they'll post something there. www.claymaniacs.com is a pretty good site too- they post links to almost any mention of Clay anywhere. I've been really anxious to find out what the announcement is as well- I almost wish they hadn't mentioned anything b/c now I'm all jumpy about it. If I'm away from the 'puter too long I get worried they'll announce something and I'll miss it...

All the info I could find so far is at the RCA site. If you go to
'www. click2music.com/index.jsp' they have this to say in their last paragraph:"His latest single, "Invisible," from his debut album is shaping up to be a massive hit."
Since they are producing his CD I thought they might have more information than that. But at least that gives us a bit of an insight as to what to expect.))))) am I smiling?!

If the announcement is anything other than his album breaking a zillion records and going platinum I'm going to be really disappointed. I just want to know EXACTLY how well it did. *keeping fingers crossed*

I went to the Claymaniacs site and look at his appearances. I found a couple I hadn't known about:

Oct. 27 (tentative) Radio Music Awards on NBC- watch for time
Nov. 16 Since Clay has been nominated for FAVORITE MALE ARTIST ...AND..FANS CHOICE He will be singing!!!!
I am going to check that site every day now for updates.
Too bad I didn't go there yesterday, it said that at 11:00 today he was on TV showing the making of his video.

I think I'll watch the View because since they said that there was going to be a big announcement maybe they'll say what it is...

I'm back at work this week and going through MEGA Clay withdrawal AND the announcement thing is driving me crazy. Hopefully someone will post here, when they hear.

I'm from another board- CA.com you should join us...anyways I also heard Merideth say something about there being a HUGE announcement, well so did everyone else at CA.com and this one member got an e-mail from this girl Suzanne that is the head memeber of this other board and she knows Clay (Clay chose her to be the president) and she said that the big announcement was just that Clay was singing the National Anthem at the World Series. A lot of people were really dissapointed at Merieth for making us all so excited for something we already knew, but now, someone at CA.com had a friend that went to the World Series...she met Clay because Clay had stayed in a box on top and the lady was right nex to him. The lady asked Clay what the HUGE announcement was and all she got from him was a great big smile and a smile from Clay's PR person. So now we know there is still some big news that no one knows about and we are all still trying to figure out what it is at CA.com...There is a rumor that Clay has gone Platinum as of Friday...and then there's another rumor that he beat out 50 cent's record for a debut artist which is 850,000 (something around there) and that would mean Clay has beat him and is now the best selling debut artist...no one knows for sure and it may just be a rumor, so don't get your hopes up just yet, until we find out! I hope that helped everyone that was so confused...oh and by the way Clay will be on GMA again, this Wednesday the 22nd talking about his sales with Dianne sawyer...no singing just talking!

I will be sure to report back if we know for a fact what the HUGE announcement is!

Whenever I go to 'clayaiken.com' all I see is one page. The only thing to click on is the 'mailing list' and 'buddy icon'. I don't see any 'forum' or anything listed on the side.
I have signed up a dozen times for the mailing list and never received anything.
I learn more here and somethings I learned from 'click2'.
It's kind of sad since they are listed as the official web site.

I went to the ebay auction to check out his jerseys for the B.foundation and they are way...way.. too high for me to bid on.
I was so hoping. He's even going to personalize them 'to.......signed Clay' he's also supposed to be signing CD's but I didn't see them.

I have been stressing over the "announcment" since The View on Friday, and NOTHING!! He is suppose to be on Good Morning America tomorrow with Diane Sawyer interviewing him about his response to record sales. I have to believe the announcement will be today so we know what he is responding to tomorrow.

Diane Sawyer has a crush on him too, wish I was in the position to interview him every week!

I e-mailed THE VIEW and asked all the hosts to let us know what the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT is supposed to be? I mentioned that fans all over the Internet are wondering what it is concerning Clay being on THE VIEW last Friday Oct. 17?

Ha ha... so funny Mang because I did exactly the same thing over the weekend and I said the same thing about clayfans all over the internet waiting to find out what the big announcement is... they haven't emailed me back yet but with any luck it'll be soon! I've been watching the View as well to see if they're going to say anything about what the Big announcement is but nothing so far....

Clay to be on 'Access Hollywood' tomorrow night. That stated that he had 'record breaking sales in one week'. I bet that is the Big News; his record breaking sales.

oh, i did. but it took a while to get the confirmation email thing so i havent gone there yet. i am a member now, so good for me! haha j/k. but seriously, i may go there sometimes, but i'm very used to inreview and i like it here.

I did go there and I have signed up under the same nick. They're pretty hard-core there. They get messages up really quick when there's new news. The only thing is that I don't really feel welcome there. There's too many rules, for example where to put your posts, there's a lot of fighting among the people that are discussing things. Especially about when it comes to where you put your post or if something has already been discussed too much then they'll sure let you know and not in a nice way. I'll admit that I haven't put a message on the board because I'm afraid of what people will say. I've just joined and I don't know if something's already been discussed too much. It's kinda frustrating and so I keep coming back to my comfy little home here at InReview.
