In PoA, when harry is in his first divination class (at least i think it's his first) Trelawny says something about the veil of the future. I know this is a bit far fetched but, could that also be the mysterious veil in OotP??!!! What I'm saying is that the veil could be the entrance to the future, like how the time turner takes you back.

Even though I am pretty sure Sirius is dead but, it could be possible that it was the veil to the future and not to death.

What do you think???

Page 103 in the American hard cover version of PoA.

"Many witches and wizards, talented though they are in the area of loud bangs and smells and sudden dissappearings, are yet unale to penetrate the veiled mysteries of the future. "

So it has the word mysteries too, so that makes it even more likely to be in the dept of mysteries!

Wow. Kris are you drinking something with caffeine in it?
You just are on fire today! Gumdrops to you for all the cool observations.

I wonder about the veil. I did not remember about the veil of the future. I do think that Sirius is not truly dead, but in another dimension. Kind of like the "elves" that go out of middle earth in LOTR. I think there will be a way for Harry to get access to Sirius. That veil is going to be prominent in the ending of the series.

Well, Sirius was hit with a stunning spell, right? The Avada Kedavra is green... and what Sirius got hit with was red. Therefore, it wasn't the death spell. So, is Sirius REALLY and TRULY dead? We don't know at this point. Did falling through the veil cause him to die? Don't know once again. Since we don't know WHAT is on the other side, there is NO telling, at this time.

The veil was surrounded by benches. Do you think that there was a significance to that? Like a jury of peers surrounding someone that is being tried for a crime. Just a thought.
