Anyone watch it? It was a great interview!

For some reason I just want the best for this guy.....he just seems so down to earth...unlike some of the other fake-o's in the music biz today.

Im looking forward to his CD coming out next week....October 14th!!

Go Clay!!

Even though I set-up my VCR to record the interview at 10pm and I went to bed, I found that I couldn't sleep, so I stayed up and watched it.

Great interview. I love that kid more and more. I believe him when he says he could walk away from it all and go back to teaching. I really don't think the fame is getting to his head at all.

I can't believe that last little mention of his bio-dad. When Primtime called him he said that if Clay wants to talk man-to-man, he knows where to where find him. Um, excuse me, but just who left who's life here? I do believe that his bio-dad needs to make the effort, not Clay.

Did you notice the tears welling up when he spoke of the pain of his childhood becasue of the abuse from that man, and because of what he did to his mom? Nope, Clay doesn't need to reach out to him, he needs to reach out to Clay.

I also see that handled the gay question very well (again) and he is not acting dumb about it. He says that he knows that he has effeminate mannerisms and ways about him, plus the southern accent all adds to the image. I think he really has his head on straight and I like him more and more every time I read about him or see another interview.

He's does one thing that I do. He corrects people's speaking for grammar, and I do that too! Funny!

The interview with Diane Sawyer was good. I think the one with Jay Leno will be better though. Jay is more layed back and I believe Clay will be more relaxed.
On the 15 he will be on Good Morning American (no sleep the night before) and then on the 17 he will be on The View. You know those ladies will love him. I believe Barbara Walters will be on all that week so she will get some info out of him.
Enjoy! Can't ;wait to pick up a few copies of his CD when it come out

I agree...I dont think it would bother him a bit to go and teach for the rest of his life. What a hard choice!!....Either way..someone is gonna be mising out on his talents...either the kids he teaches or us, as his music listeners!

And I also agree...its his birth father that needs to call him not vice versa. I didnt like that comment made from his birth father to ABC...that if Clay wants to talk to him man to man, he knows his number...what a jerk. I think he owes his son more than that! I think the one thing that upset him most was the death of his half sister....how sad. And I was really angry about him being asked to leave his grandmothers funeral....Id change my name too if I had a father like that...I mean whats the point of carrying a man's name who never gave an ounce of respect to his own child?

And I loved his pure honesty about himself. Such a grand quality you dont see much in people anymore....he is the epitomy of class!

This guy is a true idol for kids and adults alike....he tells it how it is and he is not ashamed to be who he is.....good for him!

Is anyone else as mezmorized as I am when he sings? My goodness the guy has a voice that wont quit! He is incredible!

Looking forward to seeing him on Leno....Oh yeah!

I love Jay Leno. I hope they do something funny on the show, like when Jay had Rowan Atkinson (Mr.Bean) do the trick where you put on a speedo with your pants still on and then remove the pants without removing the speedo. Thanks to that interview I now know how to accomplish that task.
Whoever said the Jay Leno show never educates you as you watch??
With Clay on that show, it'll be a big laugh fest. You know Jay's saved some pretty good jokes for him in the opening minutes.
