But if you look at the Yanks payroll the last 5 years, to get beat down like they have should be damn near impossible, wouldn't you think. Just goes to show the better team wins, not a better collection of good players.

Yawn. All I know is, last Dodgers vs. Yankees game I went to, the Blue Crew laid the smack down.
And why is it with all the talent, they mismanage players and personnel so horribly? Clemens and Pettitte leaving was the latest goof.
I think having Johnson tank was excellent.
Dodgers will be back, just you wait. Yankees era is over, you rattled off a few titles (bought and paid for). So. Most of the players couldn't wait to get out of there.
Serious though, Posada is retiring, Torre is sick of the boss, I don't see A-Rod and Jeter getting along forever, Johnson looked terrible... what next?
