Some Xbox pre-launch partygoers apparently brought their camera phones to the Los Angeles event and took pictures of the new console -- then shared them with the world over the weekend.
A photo of Microsoft Corp.'s new Xbox console has appeared on the Internet, spoiling the U.S. software giant's plans for a dramatic unveiling.
Microsoft planned a splashy MTV special Thursday to introduce its Xbox 360 but some at a pre-launch party last week in Los Angeles apparently brought their camera phones and shared pictures of the new console with the world during the weekend, Web site Engadget reported.
Microsoft is not denying the photos' authenticity, the Seattle Times said Tuesday, and still plans to go ahead with its MTV presentation.
The new Xbox will go on sale in November and compete with similar products from rivals Sony and Nintendo.
Haven't heard any news about Nintendo's product yet... interesting.....
Hehehe I don't know how they expected to hold a party with this thing and still expect to keep the appearance a secret. These things always find their way out.

Also, regarding the Blu-Ray disc capacity, I understand that they are supposed to max out at 50 GB double-layered, and 25 GB single-layered. That's still a heckuva lot better than the approx 9 GB we got now for DL DVD discs...
